“I received my Hanging Tray Bird feeder in Natural Teak Recycled Plastic (Looks and feels like real wood) from the Spruce Creek Collection and hung it up below another feeder I have and I'm in love it doesn't have a lid so you can pour the seed right in and don't have to worry about placing the lid back on this is a plus, where I hung it the squirrels can't get in it not like others they climb up the pole to get to the seed. It is about three inches deep and has a screen like material for the tray it is made In the USA which is also a plus I know my birds are going to enjoy eating out of this fine Bird Feeder. “After spending last summer experiencing the joys of the hummingbirds visiting on my feeder bottle each day, I wanted to invite new bird varieties to the party. This is a very cute, natural-looking feeder tray. The sides look like wood but are a strong plastic. It looks like the material used in Trex decking. If so, it should not rot or splinter like real wood. The rope on each side also looks like rope but feels like sturdy nylon. The tray is a pretty brown powdered-coated metal and very solid. The holes are small enough to hold seed but large enough to let through rainwater. The two loops on the rope can be placed on a shepherd hook to hang. If I decide to place it on a tree branch, I am hoping a zip tie will work to connect the two loops and keep it level.
I like that it was made in the USA. You can tell it is good quality when you look at the craftsmanship up close. It has brass fittings and a name plate. I can’t wait until this spring to see what new birds come to my backyard.”
