“I can't say enough great things about the Spruce Creek Tall Finch Bird Feeder.... we live on the perimeter of a nature preserve and one of our favorite activities is birdwatching. Last year I added a hummingbird feeder to our collection, this year the Spruce Creek Tall Finch Feeder is joining the collection. I love the recycled plastic frame, it truly looks like teak wood and the bonus is it will not crack, chip nor fade! The powder coated aluminum screen will hold up the the weather and the screen hole perforation size is not only ideal for the finch to cling to the sides of the feeder while eating but, the thistle seed cannot fall through the those same holes... plus squirrels can't cling to the feeder! Another indication of the quality of the feeder is the durable nylon rope.... Great product!”
“This product is really nice. I thought it was going to be made out of wood, but it’s hard out of a hard durable plastic. It reminds me of a decking material. Most of my wood bird feeders end up moldy, but this one is made to last. Great product.”
“First impression of this feeder was that the craftsmanship of this is much better than the finch feeder that this will be replacing. From the teak frame to the aluminum screen this is sure to last much longer than any cheap plastic product. I'm really looking forward to spring so that this beauty can start doing it's job.”
“I got this to add to my other feeders in my yard. It is built really well, and will weather well. The feeder has metal and wood not plastic like others, easy fill top. The birds and lizards seem to like it.”
“I keep a finch feeder up all year round, so I wanted one that is durable. This one seems very sturdy. It's made out of a thick, plastic type material that looks like wood. It stands up to the weather and seems well made. The top is easy to remove for easy filling. The screen also seems strong and has bigger openings than my previous thistle feeder. I was worried that the holes might be too big and the seed would fall out but this does not seem to be the case. In fact, the bigger holes seem to make a great perch for my birds to holden to. I'm really enjoying this new feeder!”
