“Design: I love the colour. All of my feeders (Birds Choice) made for recycled plastic are light brown and green. Looking out the window and seeing this lovely blue feeder in our yard makes me smile. Functionality: It is easy to view the birds from all angles. Some of our feeders have to be placed a certain way to provide the best viewing options from our windows, it was not an issue with this feeder. I have placed a No-Mess mixture, Safflower, and Nyjer seed into the tray and minus a bit of the Nyjer seed falling through it held all of the seeds. If I was just looking for sparrows (the little piggy‚Äôs) the smaller tray size would mean having to re-stock frequently, but it has not been an issue for the other smaller birds. Very easy to reach all parts, corners of the feeder to ensure it is cleaned properly. Bird Attraction: The first thing I noticed was how it attracted the smaller birds. The no-mess mixture brought in lots of sparrows, switched in the Nyjer seed and the finches were all over it. The safflower brought out the chickadees and a cardinal. We have a lot of doves in our area, they tend to ‚Äúcamp-out‚Äù in my larger open top tray feeders, which is why I do not use them anymore. The smaller size and the cover/roof over the tray I believe has helped to keep them out. They have been hanging out under the feeder (messy sparrows) and providing ground clean up only. Durability: Can not speak for this feeder, I only received it eight days ago, but if it is anything like my other Birds Choice feeders, I will have this for a very long time. Overall Experience: In the short time it has been in use I would give this ‚Äú5 Stars Plus‚Äù, the birds came to it immediately. Any bird on the feeder is easy to see, it is easy to add additional seed, cleaning is not difficult, and I love, love, love the colour. Thank you for letting me test out this feeder. I do not have any stories or pictures yet; I will pass them along in the future.”

“Feeder has been up for almost a week, using the same mixed seed as in my other feeders. Hung it next to an existing tube feeder. So far very few birds have visited - one goldfinch and 2 chickadees. Not sure if it‚Äôs because it‚Äôs new, or the blue color, as all my other feeders are natural/brown in color. Hopefully the birds get used to it. On the plus side it is well built and the recycled plastic frame and roof are sturdy. The aluminum bottom holds the seeds well and it holds 2-3 cups of seeds easily.”
“The sparrows found it within an hour!! This time of year we mostly see chickadees, wrens, and cardinals. The lift off lid makes filling the platform very easy! I also like the size. It avoids the overcrowding that occurs in some platform feeders. It seems to be their new go to favorite at dinner time!”
“I very much like this beautiful Blue Fly-Thru Bird Feeder. It is the perfect size - small - so the ‚Äúbig‚Äù birds don‚Äôt monopolize it. It is a pretty blue color, which stands out, but isn‚Äôt overwhelming. I love how easy it is to fill and clean. The roof has protected the seed pretty well during recent rain storms and the mesh bottom would allow the seed to dry quickly, if needed. The tray height is great, tall enough to keep the seed in, but short enough to allow me to see the birds that hop down into the tray. So far, I‚Äôve tried filling it with finch mix and sunflower chips; enough room in the tray for several days of feeding. I‚Äôve had a few House Finches, a Black-capped Chickadee and one Downy Woodpecker look it over. Plenty of room for all! I do wish the hanging cord was slightly shorter, as it hangs down a bit too close to ‚Äúsquirrel jumping range‚Äù on my Erva poles. But other than that, it‚Äôs perfect. I love Bird‚Äôs Choice products. Great customer service too.”
“I've really enjoyed adding this new Fly through feeder to my outdoor feeding area. The blue color is so beautiful and it really pops amongst all my other feeders. I really enjoy the fact that Birds Choice uses recycled materials to make these feeders. They look great and are all very solid. This feeder is great for the area I love in because the weather is always changing. It produces shade on Sunny days and cover for the birds and the food on rainy days.”
“This feeder is great on so many levels. The design is genius in its simplicity. The materials will hold up for a long time. It's easy to fill, & there's a sort of grate for dust & empty shells to filter through. I hung it near my other feeders, & the birds were drawn to it within 3 hours. Chickadees, gold finches & tufted tit mice have used it so far. Seeds are secure & dry with the roof, & the cable is strong for hanging. The lovely blue color is attractive & fits nicely in my wooded property. Seeds have stayed dry during a rainstorm.”
