“This feeder is great on so many levels. The design is genius in its simplicity. The materials will hold up for a long time. It's easy to fill, & there's a sort of grate for dust & empty shells to filter through. I hung it near my other feeders, & the birds were drawn to it within 3 hours. Chickadees, gold finches & tufted tit mice have used it so far. Seeds are secure & dry with the roof, & the cable is strong for hanging. The lovely blue color is attractive & fits nicely in my wooded property. Seeds have stayed dry during a rainstorm.”
“What an awesome design that the birds in my garden accepted immediately. I could immediately see that cleanliness was taken into account when it was designed. It appears extremely easy to clean. Its one-piece design makes handling, filling, and hanging a breeze. It's eco-friendly materials both in the screen bottom and plastic body should last for many, many years. In my 48 years of feeding birds, I've always valued the fly through feeders for the versatility they offer in presenting food. The birds love the visibility of this feeder as they watch for predators. I hung it up with a mix of dried mealworms, sunflower seeds, and suet dough bits and the Carolina Wrens, Carolina Chickadees, Tufted Titmice, Northern Cardinals, and Eastern Bluebirds took over from there. I definitely recommend this feeder.”
“This is a nice fly-thru feeder. It has a very easy to clean design to it, the materials seem like the will hold up well to the weather. It took about one day for the birds to start using it. We added black sunflower seeds to the wild bird seed mix we had initially put in the feeder and that did the trick for them to try it. We always have a group of doves that hang out at our feeders and they especially loved this feeder because they could lounge in it out of the sun and rain.”
“This beautiful, rugged and functional feeder has attracted a variety of birds--Chickadees, sparrows, Red-winged blackbirds, Cardinals and Mourning doves so far. The material it's made of leads me to believe it will last for years. The roof slides up the cable to allow for easy cleaning. My favorite feature is the metal mesh that allows me to use smaller seed (millet) without it falling through. I highly recommend this feeder.”
“This is my new favorite feeder for safflower. The cardinals prefer the open design over my tube feeder. It's a little too small for the mourning dove that tend to buffet, but the ones who want seed can still eat. House finches, chickadees, nuthatches, and titmice have also joined the feeding frenzy. I can't wait to try this with peanuts in the shell to see if woodpeckers and blue jays will like it. I really only use fly-thru / open feeders with safflower, peanuts, or sunflower in the shell to avoid bully birds (starlings and house sparrows) getting in on the action.”
