Hanging Small Fly-Thru Bird Feeder in Dark Blue Reviews

4.8 Rating 88 Reviews
This bird feeder is very durable and easy to clean. The birds seem to favor the fly-thru design over traditional feeders. It does seem small in size, but the birds don’t seem to mind.

the birds used the feeder pretty quickly, It definitely is best for smaller birds. My visitors have been downy woodpecker, goldfinch, cardinal, house finch, chickadee, chipping sparrow, and morning dove. And a red squirrel. I have purchased other feeders from you and they are the best. They last forever. I have the feeder hanging from a shepherd hook in front of my window so it is great entertainment. It is easy to clean and refill.

This feeder is adorable! Birds took right to it. I have about 4 other feeders outside and birds seem to love them all. I especially like this one but it’s rather small for the amount of birds I have coming every day. SO easy to fill and clean- love that about it. I also commend you on the use of recycled products. I am a big advocate there. I will continue to use this with great pleasure. Thank you!

It’s good, I personally prefer a stationed platform. A crack was on the top of the roofline. Love the weather roof, keeps seed dry!

The variety of birds has been spectacular. Watching the woodpeckers, tufted titmice, bluejays, chickadees, and cardinals coming through has been the highlight of my summer.

I am about to move the feeder for the fourth time since it arrived at my address. It's been about a week or so and I've not seen any bird activity yet. That's why I'm moving it for the fourth time. Maybe it's the color - - I have 2 nyjer seed feeders in the back yard that are bright yellow in color. I can't send you any pictures because my basic flip phone does have a camera. I will move the feeder today nad watch for the next several days - - then I will move the feeder to my front yard in front of my bay window. I did buy an expensive bag of seed for this feeder. It's a very "hot seed" because there is a squirrel problem in my part of town. I will continue to move the feeder around until I can get the birds to feed every day.

Directly out of the box I noticed a groove in the roof running the entire length. I first thought the integrity was compromised but after looking closely, it does not appear to extend into the roof itself so maybe it has something to do with the mold used during production? Some buyers may be concerned with the appearance believing it to be a faulty product, but the birds surely don't care as cardinals, sparrows, and red-winged blackbirds have so far visited the feeder. I wish the hanger was not so long which would make it easier to place a dome over it for rain protection. A shorter hanger would not impede filling or cleaning as it is a fly-thru feeder. I haven't seen where there may be any issue cleaning the platform grid even with white millet being offered. I am now using only nutrasaff to deter squirrel feeding.

Love this feeder! The blue is very pretty and looks great next to my Birds Choice suet feeder. Have it filled with favorites…peanut splits and sunflower seeds. Frequent visitors are jays, cardinals and woodpeckers. I am sure it will be very durable and popular throughout our Michigan winters!
