“Upon receiving the Fly-Thru Feeder I was incredibly pleased with the vibrant blue color. It has been a great compliment to the yard and garden, contrasting wonderfully with the summer greens. The feeder provides great access for filling and cleaning with the removable roof, and the seeds are well retained. We have seen increased use of the feeder by chickadees and cardinals. However, to attract more birds, I think the clearance between the tray and the roof could be increased as we are predominately seeing smaller birds use the feeder. As seen in the photos, the feeder does a great job of providing a dry space for the birds to eat freely and have a rest. We have enjoyed watching the birds come and go, rain or shine!”
“I appreciate the recycled materials and sustainability. The Cardinals love to come and eat sunflower seeds. I have not had much rain since buying this but the birds seem to appreciate the shade while eating.”
“The birdfeeder is very sturdily constructed. The exterior is made of a thick plastic, with a metal grate for the bird seeds. I did not have any trouble with the greats being too wide, the birdseed did not fall through. I hung the birdfeeder on an extended hook, and to this point have not had any issues with squirrels eating the birdseed. The feeder is aesthetically, pleasing, and inviting to birds. Overall a good birdfeeder that will hopefully last many years and enjoyed by our birds.”
“Great small-sized feeder to attract and allow smaller birds (sparrows, finches, etc.) to feed without getting crowded out by larger birds - which often happens on my larger platform feeders.”
“Love this new feeder. At first the birds were hesitant about using it but the last few days have become quite a feeding frenzy in the feeder. It has become so popular that I have to fill it two or three times a day to keep up with the demand. It works great and so far has stood up well to the high heat we had in IL. The color is also great and looks good against the color of our house and white fence. Highly recommended!”
“Like other Birds Choice feeders that I own, this one is pretty, functional and of solid construction. It was occupied immediately. I have one bit of advice. I hang my feeders from hooks on a tall pole. I would like to lift the feeders off and on with a pole and hook rather than getting out a large ladder. The loops at the top of the hanging wires are just a little bit small to make this work.”
“I do have a large fly through feeder but I really love this small fly through feeder. It will stand up to all types of weather and the materials it is made of will last a long time. I have had golden finches visit it.I know I'm going to enjoy using it with it ease of easy cleaning. Thank you for a wonderful feeder!”
