Hello Lissa, I am so sorry to hear that you are having some issues operating these shades. We do have some troubleshooting tips that we will email you right away and get you taken care of. I do see that FedEx for whatever reason took a bit more time to deliver these than normal, this was a very large order, but I'm not real sure what the reason for the delay was on their end. I apologize for this inconvenience.

“The blinds fit perfectly into my casement windows. When fully extended, it is pitch dark. I enjoy mornings with the top down so light streams in but I can't be seen by the neighbors. During the day I have the meet in the middle and you can't even notice there is a blind there - they disappear!”

“For the price, these blinds are great. I'm impressed at how dark my bedroom stays into the morning. Yes, there is some light that sneaks through between the sides of the window casing and the shade but it is minimal. Excellent product”
