“Love the shade, especially that the cord is metal over plastic/nylon from other manufacturers. I had to use another website to guess the + measurements for outside mount. Here is what I ordered Outside, with actual Fabric measurements. Outside measuring guidance based on my experience. Ordered 33 1/2" x 52" (outside includes header & lower fabric shade weight). Actual fabric measurement 31 3/8" x 48". If you have never seen a sheer fabric roller shade, definitely see one in person. This is a product concept gets extreme reactions, either people love it or they hate it. Personally I like it on my entry door for some privacy; however, I still prefer my top-down/bottom-up pleated shades for a standard double hung window treatment.”

“LOVE LOVE LOVE these. I bought these for my formal living room and dining room. They are beautiful! The Madera Ivory were a step out of my comfort zone and ended up being my favorite ones. What a great concept and more than half the price than the Sheer Shades which we couldn't have because of the size of frame on our windows. These fit great on a small or narrow width frame.”

“Purchased online, arrived in good time, packed well = all very satisfactory. Note enclosed parts are very unsatisfactory. Sheet metal screws provided require hex socket which is too large to fit into white plastic mounting tab. Had to shop Lowes for Phillips head screws. Bought three blinds for bow window, center blind installed well except for the screws issue. Left and right blind were manufactured with "0" tolerance and required force fit and much effort to wrench them into position. There were NO gaps each side, so we suggest anyone buying these measure again just before putting in place. Once we got a tight fitting blind mostly in place we feared much damage to wallpaper of window jamb and realized there could be no turning back. We have no idea if we can ever remove the two blinds since they are so tightly installed. Also, we suggest supplier include drywall anchors as stated in parts list, and perhaps a few shims. Lastly, we found the blinds operated differently than expected.”

“I ordered 2 of these. This is a beautiful shade with a unique design. One of the materials was on back order, but was shipped as promised by the estimated date. When I got the 2nd one i changed my mind on the look for that room. They allowed me to return it for a full refund.”

“It's a clever design for filtered and blocked light, but the order screen offered a "Blackout" option which I checked. It's certainly not a blackout shade.”

I'm sorry you aren't completely happy with your shades. When we use the term "blackout" that means that the light will not penetrate the fabric used. With most window coverings that means that there will be light that filters around the shade on the edges. With the flat sheer shades, light will not penetrate the solid pieces of fabric. However, they will obviously penetrate the sheer mesh. Also, there will be radiant light that will show through the gaps between the stripes of fabric.
