“I purchased these for my son's room to keep the sunlight from waking him on bright early mornings. The blinds came with all the hardware well packed and easy to follow instructions. But even before I opened the plastic wrapping I could see wrinkles in the fabric at the bottom of the shade. Thinking these could be smoothed out somehow, I installed the shades with a little trouble due to the intricate molding on my window frame. They fit well in the interior part of the window but because they were installed that way, they leave a bit too much light around them. Despite my accurate measurements, I have to stretch these to get them to rest on the bottom sill. The wrinkles have improved somewhat. The fabric is reminiscent of a dryer sheet or swiffer and attracts dust just as well. The blinds do not let light through so they would be better suited for outside installation, or with curtains, to prevent all the light from coming around.”

I'm sorry that you are having problems with your cordless shades. The cordless cellular shades are designed to be self-correcting. To reset your cordless shades: Lower the shade down to its full height. Firmly hold the bottomrail with both hands and pull it towards you (away from the back of the window at an angle). Quickly and firmly pull down (popping) on the bottomrail 3 or 4 times. Raise and lower the shade, repeat as necessary. These steps should rest the cordless motors in the headrail so that the shade will raise and lower properly. If these steps do not work, please let us know and we will remake or repair the shades as needed. Thank you for trying these trouble-shooting techniques. I have ordered you a new shade to replace the one that is defective. I appreciate your understanding and patience.

“I priced blackout shades at several stores and thought I would have to wait to purchase my shades due to the cost. My husband heard a Blindster ad and told me to check out the website. These shades are a great price and I was pleasantly surprise when we opened them and hung them. They are sturdy and have a great blackout feature.”
