“I used a liberal measurement-I did not subtract the recommended amount, and it was not too small. In fact, the shade still has too much light space on the sides. I added an extra inch to the length, and it was fine too. I would recommend adding at least 1 or 2 inches to the length. The shade is very bulky and doesn't go up easily, so we usually leave it only half way up rather than hassling with pushing it up to open it fully. It blocks out the light very well except around the sides. It was a good value.”

I'm sorry you are having a problem with the shade opening fully. I'm sorry that you are having problems with your cordless shades. The cordless cellular shades are designed to be self-correcting. To reset your cordless shades: Lower the shade down to its full height. Firmly hold the bottomrail with both hands and pull it towards you (away from the back of the window at an angle). Quickly and firmly pull down (popping) onthe bottomrail 3 or 4 times. Raise and lower the shade, repeat as necessary. These steps should rest the cordless motors in the headrail so that the shade will raise and lower properly. If these steps do not work, please let us know and we will remake or repair the shades as needed.

“Love having the blackout shade to take the glare off of a near by TV. Was easy to install. Toughest part was putting the plastic clip on to move the shade up and down. Will look to buy again for another room.”

“I love the blinds but I would order an inch or 2 longer than the actual window because all of them are a little short. I think they will stretch as we use them but it is a bit of a hassle right now! Also I did not realize that the top of the actual blind was cream colored instead of white. I do like them and they serve the purpose I needed them for though.”

“I am very pleased with my blinds. The price was awesome and I received them very quickly. I originally went to Lowes and got some larger blinds but they refused to cut smaller blinds to what I needed. They told me they could do a custom order but it was a ridiculously high price. blindster.com will be my blind store from now on!”
