“The headband works great to hold extra heat. Excellent fit adjustability with the Velcro closure. Perfect fit underneath silicone swim cap, without interfering with goggle fit. Other than the desired result of feeling warmer, I didn't even notice it while swimming.”
“I have only used it once, 52 degree lake. I wore it over my neoprene cap. It didn't quite keep water out of my ears but the usual ice cream headache was much better. I will try it as recommended, that is under the cap, next time. The lining is really soft, like fleece, and remains soft feeling in the water. I have tried swimming in a diver's hood. It is much warmer than just wearing a cap + headband as it tucks far into the neck and shoulders of the wetsuit. But it is so restrictive to neck range of motion, swimming is uncomfortable. I am hoping Blue Seventy will design a thermal hood from the Yamamoto neoprene someday. It should make swimming through the winter much more enjoyable.”
“My number one issue with OWS in low temps is that I get a migraine when I put my head in the water. This headband is great bc I can adjust it to where the cold bothers my forehead. I really like how flexible it is and how easy it is to put on. The thermal caps don’t always work for me bc with migraines - I am so picky on placement. I like how this lets me adjust as needed.”
