“No complaints. Very light for the warmth that they provide. Nice snug fit. Will not slide off. I'm a size 12-13 and the large fits okay. Does not seem to have a great impact on kicking. Feels as close to kicking without any thing on one's feet.”
“I got these for swimming in Alaska lakes and more specifically for Ironman Alaska. These are amazing for cold lake swims. They are quite fitted, and they fit in my triathlon shoes. I wore them for the rainy bike ride in the Ironman, and my feet were never cold. (I wore the thermal gloves on the bike too, and hands were toasty). I will wear them every Alaska lake swim I ever do. Amazing.”
“I am a baby about the cold, but need to start open water training earlier in the year, so based on recommendations I went with Blue70 gloves, booties, and thermal swim cap. All have been fantastic (with extra props to the booties due to the bottoms being rugged enough for walking around prior to getting in the water) down to Mid 50's water temp. At no point during 1-1.5 hours in the water did I feel like I needed to get out. Would highly recommend.”
“I live in Maine and have been doing some lake swimming in 52-56 degrees. The socks are comfortable but I still find my feet get really cold/numb after a 2.5-3km swim (40 - 60 min), would be great if they could be made from a thicker neoprene.”
“These socks get high marks for warmth in water as cold (so far) as 50°F. They are a bit fragile as mine separated from the heel piece after 6-months, probably due to walking on cobble. I've replaced them with another pair that I over sleeve with low-rise surf booties. Seems to be a good combination.”
“The blue seventy socks fit nice and snug but they are not warm enough for winter swimming at 45F so I wear them under neoprene booties made by another company. As another reviewer notes, I look forward to wearing the blue seventy when the water warms a little.”
