“I bought these for ocean swims in 60 F temperatures. These are a little tight putting on but well worth the effort. They were very warm. They have a fuzzy lining and it felt like I was swimming in warm slippers. I highly recommend and I have recommended them to my swimming club.”
“The Blue Seventy socks are well-made and comfortable. The thermal lining helps keep feet warm. The only drawback I noticed was that the outer layer of the sock is permeable to water and allows water to enter the sock. If the sock had an outer smooth-skin impermeable layer as found in the Blue 70 full suits, this would be an outstanding sock. Hey Blue 70, if you would make a sock with a smooth impermeable skin, I would buy a pair immediately. And the same for gloves. Thanks for the opportunity to express my opinion. Robert”
Hi Robert! Glad you're loving the socks and thanks for the feedback, I'll pass it along. Do keep in mind that the socks are neoprene which is waterproof, but the water can enter through the seams. It should be only a small amount, which you actually do want in the sock so that your body heat can warm it, which is how the wetsuit / socks, etc keep you warm. All the best!
“These fit snug and appear to be sturdy and well sewn. There is a small amount of grip on the bottom which helps with transition from car to open water swimming, but I am not that confident it will last. These socks in our average fall sound water temps are ... ok. Better than not wearing anything but not quite "thermal".”
“This is my first pair of swim socks so I have no basis for comparison, but I wore these in Lake Michigan in early November (water temp around 47 F) and they were great! My feet got cold, but not freezing cold as they obviously would have done otherwise. The socks didn't impede my swimming at all. So glad I read other reviews and purchased them!”
