“After making a lot of noise about never wearing a wetsuit again, I realized that spending more time in the Salish sea made me happy and that I needed a wetsuit to do that over the winter. A friend suggested this one for my tall, strong, larger body and it has worked out great. The first time I put it on, I was shocked by how tight it was, but after practicing a few times using the technique in the video and actually using it in the water, I would say it fits very well. I did need to use some tri-glide around the neck, but other than that I have had no problems with chafing or discomfort. I’m excited to be more comfortable in the water this winter.”
“I like the suit. Easy to get on and off. I am 5’11 185 and I ordered the sprint XLA and the torso is a too short so it pulls on my shoulders a little when I swim. Otherwise it’s great and keeps me warm in 55 deg water. Just wish it was 1 inch longer in the torso.”
Glad to hear you like the suit! For the fit, I would recommend making some adjustments as you're getting into the suit. Make sure that you have the legs pulled up as far as possible so that it's snug in your crotch. After the suit is on, bend at the waist and grasp the bit of neoprene that will bunch/roll around your belly. Work that neoprene up from your core through your chest so that any stretch in the neoprene is at your core area and there is more flexibility for your shoulders. You can also work the neoprene up your arms similarly to gain more flexibility and full mobility through your shoulders and relieve any pressure.
