“This artificial sweetener is terrific. I use it when I make homemade ice cream and it makes it sweet, smooth, and creamy. I can't even tell it's not real suguar.”
“It is expensive, but it looks like sugar and acts like sugar when baking. It is Keto friendly and has no impact on blood sugar or insulin which can be beneficial for diabetics. It is a monosaccaride(simple sugar), non-GMO”
“Used this several times for baking and sweetening and found no "after taste" like I have with Stevia, but that's just me and my taste buds. Glad I made the switch.”
“Bought this on the recommendation of my granddaughter who has tried a variety of natural sweeteners due to being a diabetic as well as finding one her father would accept and didn't have an "after taste"....his oncologists said no processed sugar and low carbs. I made a lemon curd with processed sugar and one with BochaSweet....I like the one with BochaSweet best. I've also used it in making strawberry jam.... will be buying more and using it for all my baking...now to find a confectionery sugar that will work. Highly recommend”
“Let's be clear, nothing really tastes like sugar, but sugar! However, of ALL the substitutes I've tried (stevia, monk fruit, etc.), this BochaSweet product is the absolute closest to sugar I've tasted! I'm so pleased....the hardest part of adhering to a keto-type lifestyle has been finding a suitable sugar substitute that isn't plain awful tasting. I can now enjoy a glass of ice cold tea sweetened with BochaSweet...and that's SWEET (as in 'awesome')! I'm also no longer afraid to try some keto dessert recipes and other such dishes that require sweetener of some kind. I'll surely be reordering some of this... *Not to mislead, but there is a very slight aftertaste, which is simply unavoidable I've concluded, no matter the brand. There's no cooling-effect though, at least not discernible to me - this has been another of the most aggravating aspects dealing with other alternative sweeteners. BochaSweet is a big thumbs up for me!”
“I've tried every alternative sweetener I could find. I have found a couple that I don't hate which was enough to keep me on this ketogenic journey. I found mention of Bocha Sweet from All Day I Dream About Food's blog and brushed it off several times before finally biting the bullet and trying it. It's so expensive, but it has absolutely no aftertaste. I will use my 3 lbs sparingly so as to not have to reorder very often, but I will keep this on rotation when making frostings and other goodies that I need to have no aftertaste or funny taste. It's a keeper! Also, I haven't noticed any stomach issues with this like I tend to get with other sweeteners.”
“Great taste, delivered on time. This tastes just like sugar. I put it in my coffee - 1-1 ratio for cane sugar. Taste is the same, but no calories. It is a bit pricey, but if it works to help me get healthier - then it's worth it.6/18/18 update - after using this product for a couple of months, off and on, I realized this causes gastric issues. I have only used it in my coffee (not in cooking). It causes diarrhea and gastric discomfort for me. I have noticed others are saying the same thing. I am both gluten and lactose intolerant, so my digestive system is more sensitive than some. I would suggest using this product sparingly until you find out if you have any problems with it.”
“I was skeptical to purchase this, because everything I have tried has an after taste. I have to say this BochaSweet is NO JOKE! NO after taste, NONE. It is the closest to sugar I have tasted. However, I do not believe it is as sweet as sugar. I add a teaspoon to my herbal tea, as I would if I was using real sugar, I found I had to add two to get the same sweetness. Regardless of the amount, BochaSweet, tastes like real sugar, looks like real sugar, and almost feels like real sugar, it has more dampness to it. Absolutely delicious tasting. I am not pre-diabetic, but I do monitor my blood sugar based on foods I eat to ensure I don't become pre-diabetic. I tested my blood sugar before, half hour interval, and one hour, there was no spike. I also read that it was minimally processed, that is a plus. Great alternative to sugar, and high fructose corn syrup for the health conscience, and a fantastic alternative to aspartame, stevia, and other tongue curling, bitter, after tasting substitutes for those who can not eat sugar. I hope in a few years they don't say it is not good for you like they did with agave, another one of my favorites. Two thumbs up for BochaSweet, the only down side is that it is so pricey. They should come out with trial size packets so everyone can give it a try before buying the bigger bag. I bought two from the start and I do not regret it. Plan on baking with it using almond and coconut flours and plan on making my own lemon lime soda with it, the recipes are endless. Thanks BochaSweet!!!!”
