“My 9yr old son suffered a crush injury to his little finger resulting in hand surgery and a K-wire being put in to hold the bones in place. He has used this product to cover the dressing, including a rigid hand guard to avoid bumping the finger, every day for the last 4 weeks. It is sealed quite well and has not let water in during his shower. However, condensation does start to form inside the seal if he is in the shower for any longer period of time, resulting in damp dressings. I would recommend it for others, but with a warning about the moisture build up over time. Also most children would need adult assistance to put this product on and take it off.”

Hi Ingrid, thanks for leaving a review. We're sorry that it did not meet your expectations. The condensation that you mention is something new that we haven't heard from before. I believe that it is probably the result of a hot shower and sweat. Similar to windows getting steamed up when taking a hot shower and there is no exhaust or window open. Unfortunately I don't think there is much that can be done regarding this as the cast cover has to be air tight to prevent water from getting in.
