“As you'd expect with that large a lens, it's heavy but because it's built like a tank, it works well. A note to the wise: because this magnifies significantly, it needs to be quite close to your work item. It makes sense, and no complaint, it just surprised me a bit. It is clearly documented on the page as "System Working Distance"; I just missed that.”

“Interested for several years to purchase a desktop lighted magnifing lens. A flexible soldering base is okay with its 2.5 inch diameter lens, but gets in the way for close in soldering work. Refined my research specifically adding "glass" to the search string and the results were much different! Landed upon Bolioptics and their extensive selection. Chose their 8 diopter and within days I had their lens in hand! Double boxed styrofoam incased, the LED magnifier is perfect for my close-in soldering needs! I'm extremely pleased at the quality. Durability thus far it really stays in-place with tight pivot joints. The LED has three settings and provides plenty of light. Also liking the cover over the top of the lens keeps it clean when not in use. Aside from this lens, I received an email illustrating some of their other products namely lenses that remind me of point counting! This was a fine purchase for close in work. Extremely happy!!”

“My wife is very happy with it. It is well made, sturdy, good quality. I did a lot of research on these magnifier lights before deciding on this one. It was more expensive than many others, but none are made as well. I just saved a little extra money over a couple of months and bought a far better quaility magnifier light.”
