“My husband suffers from IBS-C and cannot tolerate whey or casein, so most proteins (even some plant-derived) really mess up his digestion. This formula is one of the only ones that does not upset his stomach AT ALL. Plus, it tastes amazing! Sweet and a little salty at the same time. He likes to use it in cold shakes and in his oatmeal in the morning. The only complaint I have about it is that it does not do well in baked goods, which was a little bit surprising considering how perfectly the other Bowmar proteins bake. It gives pancakes a stiff, chewy texture that the others do not. However, I'm just happy that my husband finally has a protein he can use that doesn't result in pain and bloating! Highly recommend for people with digestive issues.”
“If you need to have dairy free, then this is a decent product. If you can have dairy, I would advise buying their regular protein. The dulce de leche has a very similar but better flavor.”
“I have yet to purchase this protein, but was given a sample. I am an avid user of egg protein powder, by another brand, and I was definitely happy with this brand. Absolutely delicious. I will definitely be buying and hopefully they come out with other flavors as I have an allergy and intolerance to whey or casein as well as gluten. Thankfully eggs do not bother me because not all plant-based protein is good. Anyway for all of those saying that it does not mix well in hot, take it from an experienced user, you add it to your oats after you cook them and you just want to mix it quickly and you should have absolutely no issues. I have yet to put egg protein in my hot coffee but I would imagine it would not work well as egg protein will cook as if it were eggs because it is. This is a 10 out of 10 no doubt”
“Absolutely my new favorite protein! I'm not dairy sensitive but I do prefer using Dairy Free/Vegan protein and this is THE best I have ever tried. My favorite is to use it mixed in oatmeal...Sooo good and perfect for the Fall! It pairs perfectly with so many of the nut butters too. Highly recommend this protein!”
“I haven’t purchased from bowmar in a while because I have been using up stock. Haven’t been on social media in 6 months so I’m thankful for the email updates... they announced the dairy free protein... didn't know if the flavor would be too sweet or not, hoping they can craft protein hot chocolate into dairy free... :) but anyway back to this perfectly flavored deliciousness. The smell is amazing but I tried this first with 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, ice and one scoop in a blender..... unreal how this matches the dairy free ice cream salted caramel flavor, like this is so good. I was worried I’d have to add fruit or a spice to it, no. Two ingredients + ice is perfect. Definitely my new go to. Great job Sarah & Josh. Thank you!
P.s. for anyone else—- even though I’m actually allergic to whole milk, their protein hot chocolate does not bother my stomach as many other proteins have. Just in case you’re skeptical to try! Only protein on the market I’ve used for at least 2 years now.”
“This is hands down my favorite flavor protein from Bowmar. It's PERFECT. Not too sweet, a little salty - YUM. But, unlike their other proteins, this stuff does NOT mix well with anything but cold water. I tried it in oatmeal and hot coffee - it literally COOKS. So, if you like mixing your protein in coffee or oatmeal or other hot things, I wouldn't suggest this one. I just drink it with plain cold water, and it's delicious!”
“This is my first time trying a protein powder from Bowmar and I’m certainly glad I did. This was the best tasting non dairy protein I’ve ever had but I can’t get it to mix in ANYTHING. Cold water, room temp water, oatmeal, etc. It’s annoyingly chunky in everything no matter if I shake it, stir it, or use a handheld mixer. Realistically would have given it 3.5 because it makes drinking it nearly impossible but I rounded up because the salted caramel flavor is great. Hoping the mixing issue gets sorted out by the time the next DF flavor comes out.”
