Brush On Block SPF 30 Translucent Mineral Powder Sunscreen Reviews

Brush on Block is indispensable! Not only does it protect but it lessons the sheen created by a moisturizer. Brilliant! Always good to have on hand because you never know when someone’s going to pick you up in a convertible

I love this stuff. The only sunscreen my picky kid will tolerate and it really works. So much better than greesy creams. I live in Florida so I use it all the time and it lasts well.

Goes on so easily! I put on my moisturizer and let it dry a little, then layer on the powder for sun protection. It evens out my skin a bit and takes the shine (from moisturizer) away entirely. Great product! Next I'll get a tinted version.

I love the lightness of this powder sunscreen! The dispenser is easy to use and, with a little practice, goes on evenly without waste. I like that it locks so as not to leak out in my bag. Wish I would have tried this sooner!

I am a veteran user of Brush on Block powder sunscreen. I like the brush texture and that it is dark in color so I can easily see the powder and know when to "flick" it. This is my daily sunscreen. I brush it on in the morning as part of my routine and then keep it handy during the day for touch-ups. I will use the SPF40 stick for my arms and the tops of my feet (if wearing sandals). This SPF30 sunscreen is more than sufficient for going out during the day for a short errand or two as long as you don't stand longer than about 2 hours in direct sun. Then I switch to my Brush on Block SPF50 powder (another review).

WOW. This stuff is just way too easy. Keep at home, carry in purse, put in pocket. It also seems to set my foundation and it doesn't rub off!

I traveled to Orlando this week to the Disney parks. I do this regularly—4 parks, 1 each day. My go to sunscreen is Coppertone Sport. Between my husband and I, we use an entire container of the spray before the end of the trip. Rather than buy a second can, I thought I’d do a direct comparison. I used the Coppertone the first 3 days. As usual, it worked great, while leaving me unfortunately shiny, I had zero evidence for tan or burn. I used the Brush on Block the 4th day. The weather was the same every day—hot as sin, no rain. I did not ride any water rides. While my arms and legs were fine with the Brush on Block, my face and chest were slightly burned by the end of the day. I assume that sweat was the cause, though I reapplied regularly. In short, I will keep the Brush on Block as my purse sunscreen for impromptu outings, but will stick with the sweat proof Coppertone for planned outings.

Hi Kathleen! Each batch of our products are rigorously tested multiple times to provide the listed coverage. We find that most folks having trouble are either not opening the brush to allow powder to flow, or are not applying it long enough on each area to provide even coverage, or they are not re-applying often enough. We'll have a member of our team reach out for application assistance!

Used for years and my original brush finally gave out. The new refillable brush is more clearly marked with “ open” and “closed” settings.
