What a great invention! It’s so nice to use sunscreen in a powder instead of having to smear on something greasy. Thank you so much!

I *hate* sunscreen. I wear SPF swimwear but I still need something for my face. This is like applying mineral makeup. It's so easy, feels great and works like a charm. My kids love it too. Also the customer service is awesome. They replaced my brush when it broke due to a design flaw. Will purchase again.

I like more natural sunblocks but hate that many of them make you look like a mime so I was excited to give this a try. I tried it out for the first time at the lake the other day and it was meh. The powder doesn't consistently come out so you have to keep tapping the brush to get it to flow. And because it's a translucent powder, it's hard to see where it's actually been applied and where it hasn't and because of that I left the day with a slight burn on my legs. It also filled the lines in my face making me look 10 years older. I like the concept, but can't say I love the actuality.

Thank you for your feedback! We'd like to address some of your concerns and offer some tips on application so that you may have a better experience the next round. :) Our mineral powder brushes are designed for every day wear mainly for faces, neck, arms, hands, tops of the feet, etc. Although technically you could apply to the whole body, it would take a lot of time and powder to cover completely. We do offer a body product, Bounce Butter ... it is not a powder, but is meant for easy full body coverage. As you use our brushes, you'll want to be sure that it is in the "open" position, and then give it a couple flicks of your wrist to get it started. The powder self dispenses as you use it with the motion of applying (buffing it on), you should not need to keep shaking it as you go, but I sometimes give mine a little flick between areas of application. When you apply the mineral powder be sure to divide areas up into smaller sections (like 1/2-face) and apply by buffing in a circular motion for at least 15-seconds per small section. Not a wispy brushing motion, but actually buff it on like you mean it and for long enough so that it is applied evenly to the skin. Be sure to reapply often, at least every 2-hours in the sun and immediately after toweling off. The powder is not meant to flow out of the bristles, it is designed to flow from the dispenser into the center base of the bristles which then is buffed onto your skin. If it is flying out of the brush, then powder is being wasted. We do understand that the translucent powder can be difficult to see on some skin tones so as long as you are following the application instructions, you should have complete coverage. We appreciate you trying it and hope that you'll give it another go. Don't hesitate to reach out to our Customer Service Team if you have any questions.

I like the application and lightness of the powder. I did carry it in a backpack during a vacation and didn't realize that there was a cap on the bottom of the powder cartridge. It came unscrewed in my backpack and I lost the majority of the powder. The cartridge did not come unscrewed from the brush so I'm not sure why there is a second cap at the bottom and is a poor design for portability.

Hi Meg! We're so sorry to hear your brush spilled. We'll have a member of our team reach out directly. Our brushes are designed to unscrew on the bottom to refill, and so it's best to be sure to hold onto the upper part with the writing "mineral sunscreen" when rotating open/close and also give the bottom cap a little extra twist in the closed direction to be sure it's secure prior to stowing away. If you have not already, be sure to take a look at our "How-To" page to learn more about your brush. Just click on the logo that matches your brush and you may watch a short video and scroll through for instructions and care & refill info. https://brushonblock.com/pages/how-to-use-brush-on-block

I appreciated how easy this was to apply. I liked that it was an alternative to sticky, slimy lotions. I did pink up when using this on my décolleté. I think it might be better to use as a second coat after applying a liquid sunscreen.

Hi Jenny! Our mineral powder are designed to be stand alone sunscreen, and are FDA tested to provide the coverage listed when applied as directed. To achieve complete and even coverage, divide areas up into smaller sections, like 1/2-face, and with the brush in the open position apply by buffing in circular motions for about 15-seconds before moving to the next section. Be sure to reapply at least every two hours in the sun and immediately after toweling off.
