“This sunscreen is awesome- I have 3 kids, 2 below the age of 3 so it takes a long time to get sunscreen on them. This makes the process super easy and fast. It works well! I've applied it every 3 or 4 hours and they have not burned in the HOT South Carolina summer sun so far so it seems to work beautifully! I would recommend it to anyone with kids. I might buy the adult kind next! :)”
“I found it very difficult to see the powder and understand where my children had coverage. While I think the idea is great, my children both wound up getting sunburned due to the inconsistency of the powder coverage.”
Hi Teresa, remember that the powder that is applied to the skin needs to be deep in the bristles to be buffed onto your skin. Powder you see in the air is definitely wasted, and the powder on the tips of the bristles won't be buffed on as effectively. You may also find our blog post helpful!

“We bought two of these. One literally doesn’t work- the sunscreen doesn’t come out and no amount of whacking it helps. The brunch pops off constantly and won’t screw back down. The other one works as it’s supposed to, but coverage is so light, it’s hard to tell where it’s applied. I don’t recommend it for anything more than a cloudy day.”
Hi Carolyn, can you please reach out to us at info@brushonblock.com for help with your defective brush? As far as coverage on the other one, we recommend dividing the areas to be covered into small spaces (half your child's face, one arm and hand, neck and ears, etc) and applying for 15 seconds to that area. Conveniently (or not?) singing two verses of "Baby Shark" is about 15 seconds, and longer than you might think, but with that amount of time and a small space, you can get great coverage and the advertised protection (spf 30).
