Our brushes are designed for convenience and daily use, they are compact for portability and will last about 60-75 applications or 2-3 months with regular use depending on the individual using the brush.
If you are seeing powder in the bristles then your brush is working! Powder is not meant to puff out all over, as that would be a waste, but rather it dispenses into the bristles where it it then applied to the skin. Be sure to check out our "How-To" page to learn more about your brush.
“I was disappointed to see titanium dioxide in the ingredient list. Titanium Dioxide is linked to cancer when ingested. Obviously no one is eating suncreen, but in powder form I don't want to apply it to my kids face and have them inhale to powder during application. I noticed the TD ingredient right after submitting my order and emailed them immediately to cancel it. They said they could not and that I could return the product at my own expense of return shipping. Overall, disappointed TM is an ingredient and even more unimpressed at the fact they couldn't cancel an order placed moments ago or offer a return shipping lablel.”
We totally understand your health concerns. Brush On Block has been tested multiple times, our products do not contain particles small enough to be considered nano-sized or nano particles. This means no absorption risk and no inhalation risk. Additionally, according to OSHA Standards, none of our products are small enough to be considered “respirable.” This means that the particles are large enough for the body to filter them out and they will not reach your lungs or bloodstream.
We process and ship orders immediately upon receiving them to get them on the road and into our customer's hands as quickly as possible. I'm so sorry we were unable to cancel your order after you confirmed it. We did offer you a complete refund, but it is your responsibility to ship it back to us.

She is very picky about sunscreens that don't rub into the skin well, and this one is not that (thankfully). She absolutely loves the powder--that it has a purple brush and a way to keep the powder from being released when not in use”
