So sorry to hear this! We’d love to help with a resolution. Please note, the Brush On Block brush is different than many on the market, in that it has an open/close mechanism. The potion above the yellow “window” (where you can see the powder) twists back and forth so that the powder will not all move into the cap when you carry the brush with you. You need to open it first before shaking the powder into the bristles. Here’s a video demonstrating how to open it and get the powder flowing:

Once the brush is set to the Open position, you should be able to shake it as demonstrated in the video to flow the powder to the bristles. If this doesn’t help, please let us know at customerservice@brushonblock.com so we can help you troubleshoot further or, if necessary, arrange a return or refund.
“BOB Kids is officially a must-have! I love the open/close function for the brush and the fun purple brush-head. The balm is also so smooth and pleasant to put on. No odor or residue on either. I read a lot of reviews about not being able to see the powder/not sure you have enough on but I didn't have any issue - I could very clearly see a puff of it come out when it was in the "open" position, and I saw a few more puffs as I applied in a circular motion as I applied to my baby. 10/10 recommend!!!!”
