Your concern is fairly common, and especially with children, as their skin is so smooth and perfect, it can be hard to see the powder.
Be sure to turn the brush into the OPEN position before you flicked it. The blue portion of the brush with the writing on it clicks to the left to open the brush and to the right to close. This helps prevent leakage and accidental spills.
If you have done that, then the best way to see the powder is being applied is to start with the back of one of your hands. Buff the powder on your hand, just as you would on ½ of your child’s face (about 15 seconds, or two verses of Baby Shark and in a circular motion). After doing this, compare the back of your hand to your other hand. You will be able to see the difference, that means the powder is there.

Be sure to reapply at least every two hours when your child is in the sun!

If you are sure that your BOB Kids brush is in the open position and that powder is flowing, then we recommend you apply to each half of your child’s face for 15 seconds. (That’s about two verses of “Baby Shark,” so four verses for their whole face.)

The Kids Balm is best used by warming it up with your fingertips before applying, Lightly swirling your fingertips on the top of the balm will warm the material, making it easy to spread.
