Really hard to get the mineral powder out but my 3 yr old son likes the feel of the brush. Hard to know how much makes it on the skin.

Thanks for your feedback. Your concern is fairly common, and especially with children, as their skin is so smooth and perfect, it can be hard to see the powder. Be sure to turn the brush into the OPEN position before you flicked it. The blue portion of the brush with the writing on it clicks to the left to open the brush and to the right to close. This helps prevent leakage and accidental spills. If you have done that, then the best way to see the powder is being applied is to start with the back of one of your hands. Buff the powder on your hand, just as you would on ½ of your child’s face (about 15 seconds, or two verses of Baby Shark and in a circular motion). After doing this, compare the back of your hand to your other hand. You will be able to see the difference, that means the powder is there. Here's a short video to demonstrate: https://youtu.be/CGf3DG0YICk Be sure to reapply at least every two hours when your child is in the sun! Hope this helps!

I'm located in Canada and was worried these products might not get here in time for our vacation. They arrived earlier than expected even with reported delays at Canadian customs. Happy to say it was a great purchase and we LOVED both products. I would highly recommend the BOB Kids Brush and Balm Duo!

We have been using the powder for a year now and absolutely love this product. It is so easy to apply and it gives great coverage! I have 4 daughters and I especially love how easy it is to apply and eliminates the fighting of trying to rub the lotion in all the way in while they are squirming and wriggling to get back to playing. My teenager prefers this to any other sunblock because of its ease to apply and light weight feeling. Doesn’t make her face break out like other lotion products we have used. We mostly use it on the face but my favorite place to use it is on their heads where their hair part is. It’s been a game changer for my kiddos who just refuse to wear hats, no more greasy hair!!! We just started using the balm and I really like how easy it applies, it’s super light feeling, rubs in easily and is a great base to start then reapply with the powder.

Very difficult to tell if the powder is providing adequate coverage, and the balm is very thick and difficult to spread.

We appreciate your feedback! If you are sure that your BOB Kids brush is in the open position and that powder is flowing, then we recommend you apply to each half of your child’s face for 15 seconds. (That’s about two verses of “Baby Shark,” so four verses for their whole face.) Here's a helpful video demonstrating: https://youtu.be/CGf3DG0YICk The Kids Balm is best used by warming it up with your fingertips before applying, Lightly swirling your fingertips on the top of the balm will warm the material, making it easy to spread. We hope this helps!
