I really like the functionality that the Brydge Pro provides. However, I do find that sometimes it doesn’t wake the iPad Pro until I have tapped the Control key at least 5 times. Generally it is 1 to 2 taps so it is not a consistent issue. Kind of a nit, but I have been a previous Brydge customer on other iPad platforms and have not seen this behavior. I would have thought with Bluetooth 4.1 support, this would not occur

I own and have used keyboards offered by: Apple, Logitech, Zagg and Brydge for my iPad Pro 12.9" 3 Gen (2018) model. My two favorite Keyboards for the iPad Pro 12.9" 3 gen (2018) are the Brydge Pro and the Zagg Slimbook Go in that order. Three design items I really like with the Zagg keyboard are: the 7 colors of the backlit keys (comes in handy given different ambient lighting situations); Apple Pencil Holder (helps secure pencil from falling off and getting lost); and my favorite design item of the Zagg is the speaker cutouts that project the sound FORWARD instead of to the sides (adds complete perimeter protection too). Having said that, I prefer the feel, size, usability and design of the Brydge Pro keyboard. It has a much smaller footprint than the Zagg. Zagg uses a "kickstand" that takes up a lot of room forcing the ipad pro about 4.5" to 5" towards you to allow space at the rear for the "kickstand". Bridge Pro has hinges that hold firm for almost an unlimited degree of viewing angles. In summary, if the overall footprint is NOT an issue for you, if you prefer multiple back-light color choices, if you need complete perimeter drop protection, and if you like the sound being projected forward; Zagg Slimbook Go may be a good fit for you. In my opinion, Brydge Pro is better for daily use thanks to: the compact footprint, comfortable keyboard feel (backlit too), laptop fit and finish with metal construction and nearly unlimited viewing angles... Brydge Pro is definitely my preferred keyboard and I highly recommend it!

My last iPad was the iPad Air, and the Brydge keyboard I had purchased for that made it a good productivity tool. Since buying the iPhone 10 in November 2018, however, the Air seemed very stodgy. I want you all to know that although I wanted the 2018 iPad Pro 12.9" the moment I saw it unveiled, I would not buy it until the Brydge keyboard was available. I pre-ordered the Brydge and waited till the week it arrived to purchase the iPad Pro. Now working with the iPad pro is a joy. As soon as it is raised from the keyboard, it opens, recognizes me and unlocks. I can then use the Siri key to give it a command. This is especially useful because if I say "Hey, Siri" my iPhone X responds. Using the Siri key on the Brydge lets my iPhone sleep unawares. The speakers are wonderful. Downloading is rapid. Reading the NY Times on the Pressreader App is almost as good as the actual newspaper when I travel. The Brydge keyboard makes my iPad pro instantly useful and a great productivity tool as well as a media viewer.

I love everything about it. I have had a Brydge for my first iPad, my iPad Air, my first iPad Pro, and my new iPad pro. They are the best!

The day after the keyboard arrived, the rubber shim in the left hinge tore while removing my iPad. I emailed Brydge support and they responded within 2 days just as they promise. They assure me they have sent replacements. Two days ago, the top half of the torn shim ripped off entirely, leaving the keyboard unable to hold an iPad until the replacement arrives. Meanwhile, the shim in the other hinge pulls up sometimes when removing the iPad, its edges needing to be wrapped back over the metal hinge. All of this is critical. With the Brydge Pro attached, the iPad essentially becomes a MacBook with a keyboard superior to the keyboard of any laptop Apple currently offers. However, the Brydge Pro also turns the 12.9 iPad into an 3 pound tablet. When I want to read on the iPad - to use it as a tablet - it needs to be pulled out from the hinges. You're supposed to be able to do that. I sincerely hope the replacement shims resolve the problems. But after using the keyboard for a week, I'm concerned about the durability of its shims.

I have used several keyboards over the years for my iPads. This takes the iPad to a whole new level. I take my iPad / Brydge with me every where and when clients see it they are like what is that? Is that a new touch screen Apple Mac Book Mini? I am so happy with it and feel that it has taken my productivity to a new level. From web development via Squarespace to Air Table design and managing my Tech Support Business this new iPad Pro 11 Brydge Keyboard is really a game changer. The materials are top notch. Keys work every time, the battery / bluetooth are state of art. I would buy this again no questions asked.

As soon as I got this I put it on and damn! It’s Apple like quality without worrying about any butterfly issues. I use my iPad and the Apple pencil for school so this keyboard made it tremendously more easy for my studies. Definitely worth the wait and the support and feel is top notch.
