I received my Brydge keyboard for my iPad Pro 11” a few hours ago and put it through its paces. In fact, I am typing this review on my ipad using the Brydge keyboard. What I like: 1. Design aesthetic 2. Overall finish and the way it blends with the iPad (space gray finish) to make it look like an integrated device 3. The laptop like feel of the keyboard while typing (granted, the spacing is still close and the lack of a meaningful wrist pad is not good, but this is limited by the 11” iPad size and I am not dinging Brydge for this. They have done the best with the available dimensions) 4. I also like the many keys that are user-friendly like the home key, the lock key, brightness, sound... What I DON’T like: 1. The quality of the hinge - in my limited use, it proved to be weak to bear the weight of the iPad Pro beyond a 110-120 degree angle. It slowly tips the iPad over to slump to 180 degrees, particularly if I move around to reposition myself, or worse yet, when I move around holding the keyboard while the iPad is docked to it. This is very disappointing. I have had the Brydge keyboard for my SurfacePro for may months and do the same but never experienced this issue at all. So, clearly, this is an issue specific to the keyboard for the iPad Pro. 2. The second thing I did not like is one of the the black rubber sleeves within the hinge came off easily. It looked like it was going to fall off. This was disappointing and I had expected better quality. Overall, I still like it. I am glad I bought it. I recommend it. But my expectations were higher (5 stars) both because of the long anticipated wait time and marketing build-up, and my very positive experience with the SurfacePro Brydge keyboard. This keyboard failed to meet that expectation. To close with a bit of humor. In my limited used today, I reached for the imaginary trackpad on the keyboard several times. I am hoping that Apple supports it with the release of iOS13. And perhaps then get a new Brydge keyboard with track pad, a stronger hinge, and a better quality rubber sleeve. Until then, I will try to make this work!

I own the Brydge for the Surface Pro 4 and it is awesome. I am looking forward to this keyboard for the 12.9 iPad Pro. I am curious since IOS may soon support a mouse, will there be a trackpad version (similar to the Surface Pro 4 version). Great job Brydge, keep up the great work.

I was randomly chosen as one of the three early pre orders last week and ever since then I’ve been extremely excited about testing it out. It’s only been two days since I’ve had it and I’ve never been so impressed in my life. The fluidity, the aesthetic, and even the attention to detail, everything about this keyboard is immaculate. The presentation when it arrives brings the whole experience together as well. This is my first Brydge product and it definitely won’t be my last!

This almost feels as if Apple secretly made the keyboard as it has a Macbook feel minus the crapness that Macbook fans have been complaining about. What I love: premium keyboard device that allows me to lock the screen and alter the brightness levels from my keyboard (the latter is highly recommended for episode 3 of Game of Thrones). What I hated: the fact that I did not order a case to protect both devices (I will try to remedy that soon but I might wait until I see what TwelveSouth has to offer). Tip: If your Brydge keyboard does not pair right away with your iPad Pro, then reboot the iPad and it should solve the issue. Another tip: if the grpper comes off just put it back on. :-)

I ordered a cheap knock off keyboard case from Amazon, it came from China, at first it seemed to be good enough to meet my needs. Then I started to type with it and noticed that the y and the x keys were typing the opposite letter. Not that the keys were on wrong just that if you pressed the y key it would type an x and vice versa. Straight back to Apple. So I went and watched all the reviews of the many different keyboards out there and on one of the YouTube videos I saw the Logitech slim folio pro. That seemed to be a great keyboard so I preordered it. Doing additional searching I saw the Brydge keyboard and was instantly thrilled by the fact that it had limitless viewing options, I spent most of my time laying down with the iPad on my lap and the Logitech keyboard only had three viewing options one of which had the keyboard facing the back. So I preordered this keyboard. Unfortunately I ran out of money and had to cancel my order and wait until May. I first went to cancel the Logitech keyboard, it took two days of waiting to get through to their chat support and on the second day I waited an hour and a half to reach someone they finally said that returns was not their department but would send my request over to the right department and please wait 24-48 hours for a reply. It took two days longer to finally get my money refunded. When I was on hold waiting for Logitech I sent an email to Brydge support and asked for a refund and they answered me right away they refunded my money so fast it was back in my account in less than 30 seconds. I apologized for cancelling and promised I would order it in May which I will do and can’t wait to finally get the right keyboard for my iPad Pro 12.9”

Why are all these reviews from people who don’t even have the new keyboard yet? I want to see reviews from those who have received and used the new 11” keyboard not those who are anticipating it! I previously owned a Brydge for my 10.5” iPad and I returned it to Best Buy. Why you ask? Because it lagged. Meaning I had to repeatedly go back and re-type letters that didn’t get typed the first time. Hopefully the 11” does not have the same issues. The keyboard overall was beautiful and sturdy.

You can cover it in 14k gold BUT No Apple Pencil storage equals not worthy! How can you manufacture a nice product like this and not built in for an essential add on for the iPad?????????

This will be my 3rd Brydge. I had a Logitech folio on my original iPad Pro for years until it wore out, then found the Brydge with white plastic to replace it. Loved it immediately but wondered how long the charge would last. Never did let it run out all the way but it lasted for a LONG time. Had it playing music on a job site & a 2 x 4 fell on it & broke off the caps lock key. So ordered another one, which had the improved hinges, loved it. Shortly after dropped my iPad while not in the case & shattered the screen. Opted to get the newest iPad Pro & have ordered this newest model Brydge. I have every confidence I will love it as least as much as the others. Highly recommended!!
