This is my second Brydge keyboard. My first one was fantastic and lasted for about 3 years until I spilled coffee on it. I just upgraded my iPad and purchased this keyboard to go with it. It still has the great touch that I liked so much in my first keyboard, and it is well built. In fact, with the iPad, it is close to 3 pounds. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that you cannot turn off the track pad. I continually hit it with my wrists while typing which makes the screen and cursor jump around. If I had known that I could not turn off the track pad, I probably would not have purchased it.

It seems to be working just fine. I love the fact that it protects the iPad quite well. I love the back light feature as well as the feel of the keys when I type. The only thing that I have an issue with is that when it arrived it did not have the power cord. Every keyboard case that I have purchased has always had a power cord. I reached out to Support to let them know that I did not receive the power cord and have not heard back from anyone.

The hole in the case for the usb-C charging port is a bit too small, It can only fit the original apple charging cable. I try to put in my external USB-C drive , it won't fit nor my USB-C hub. It will be nice if there is a dedicated holder for the apple pencil .

For the price you pay, getting a sturdy case and keyboard with mouse pad; this is perfect. But as product price aside, this case is can use some improvements. My only two problems with it are: 1. That the back is too thick and acts as an insulator, which is bad for hot summer days. 2. There is no kickstand. On hotter summer days I usually take off the case in order to make sure the iPad can cool itself off efficiently because the heat being put off gets concerning. A lot of the time when I just want to watch videos on my iPad or use it as a monitor for my Mac I have to use an external device just to prop up the iPad, it would be nice if the case had a kickstand similar to that of how the new Nintendo OLED Switch or similar to the Logitech Combo iPad Keyboard Cases. But still have the ability to magnetically attach to the keyboard backing. With the current implication, just using the keyboard as the stand, it makes the form factor too big and puts the iPad farther away than is comfortable. Not to mention food getting into the keyboard when eating. When using the iPad as a monitor I want the screen to be closer to me because the screen is so small and it is hard to see what is on it, and the keyboard obstructs my ability to bring the screen closer to me. In fact the keyboard becomes a bit unnecessary in this situation for the Mac’s universal controller would just be used to control the iPad curser and text input, making the keyboard redundant. Outside if that, the mouse pad is almost perfect. While not Apple Magic Keyboard levels of control, it gets really close, and for just have the price this is extremely acceptable. One thing I have noticed is that the Brydge Mouse Pad struggles to pull up the app switch window in a way that doesn’t require practice. Something the Magic Keyboard does seamlessly and naturally. EI While the Brydge can do it, it takes some practice to consistently pull up the app switch functionality. One bonus that this implementation has over the Folio is its wireless capability which the Magic Keyboard doesn’t have. So if I am using my iPad on an art stand I can still use the keyboard while fully detached, which is something I greatly appreciate. Battery wise, it took a full day to charge, but over a month of use, my battery levels on the iPad is reporting 70% capacity left. But it should be noted that the battery indicator for this product I have noticed to be a bit faulty and it should be used with a delta of 10%. I have noticed that on some days the battery will randomly jump 3-7% in capacity even though, as mentioned, I have not charged the keyboard since I bought it a month ago. Something to note is that a lot of apps do not have a great keyboard implication. More importantly since the keyboard goes to sleep, if the keyboard goes to sleep and disconnects, then you open an app, start onscreen typing, turn on the keyboard while typing, then continue typing using they keyboard, most apps I have used have been very confused by this. This is something that is completely the iPads fault, but something to note. I never noticed with with the Magic Keyboard, or any keyboard that uses connection on the back of the iPad, but it does happen with all Bluetooth keyboards that I have used. Finally the case is rugged enough that if the iPad takes a fall it won’t come off but the case is loosen enough that if you wish to take it on and off it is capable of doing so with ease. This I see as a positive for most cases can only achieve on or the other.

Key board does not work as a standard bt key board would. Tab key don’t transfer like it should and the keys are a bit close together. Should have purchased the apple keyboard 1st and save myself some time and money. Customer service is horrible as well and took almost 4 month to get a refund on a product i returned.

This is an amazing keyboard and case for the iPad Air. I needed an external keyboard, and Brydge's Bluetooth hardware is top-notch. Having a protective and magnetic removable shell for the iPad is an additional and unexpected bonus. I'd recommend this keyboard and protective case to everyone who buys an iPad Air.
