in dim lighting, there is absolutely too much light coming from around and under the illuminated keys, leakage, basically due to the gap between the case and the key edges. It casts a lot of glare. The folding case/lid seems ok now, but I wonder how it will hold up after hundreds and thousands of open/close cycles? I like the magnet that holds the iPad in the case, hope I don't find a way to zap my credit cards.

I would give 4 1/2 if I could! In addition to this Bydge Air MAX+ I have used the Logitech Combo Touch and Apple Majic keyboard. I Like the Majic keyboard the least, it is awkward and without the top line of keys less functional that the Logitech or Bydge. Now the two others. I like the Bydge form factor the best, guess I have become accustom over the years to the notebook format. While the Logitech has the same form, the need to kick the kickstand back is a little cumbersome and takes more room. I do like the kickstand when I just want to watch a video (maybe on the kitchen table with little room to spare) and don’t need the keyboard. Maybe a kickstand on the SnapFit case in the next rendition would fix this minor shortcoming. I like the “hardwire” feature of Logitech (and Apple). Opening the case and being immediately connected (although Bydge is very fast connecting) and using iPad power is great (next generation Bydge, maybe?). A slight lag on the keyboard and charging it up separately is something I can get used to, fortunately the keyboard is a low power user. The Logitech is about 8 oz lighter than the Bydge and Apple, but the Apple has no protective case for the iPad. The half-pound is not that significant. Bottom line for now. I will use Bydge for work and correspondence and Logitech for the weekend relaxed scenario. The SnapFit was a great addition and what encouraged me to try the Bydge (again). The kickstand on the SnapFit would be the total game changer for me.

wanted it because it could go from being a tablet to laptop. being able to use in tablet mode without having to have the weight of a keyboard was the selling point for me personally. I would recommend this for anyone looking for these features. the protection of 4 foot drop is a big plus

This is the 3rd edition of this keyboard I have had, It is the Best everything I didnt like about the other models they have fixed. Love that there are no hinges, no little rubber stoppers on the bottom that come off. The keyboard works, and fells just like my MacBook Pro. People are always thinking this is a laptop. I LOVE this keyboard

Wasn’t sure I would like the new case design, but works quite well. Feels sturdy. Was surprised it didn’t come with a cord to charge. Seems a bit cheap on companies end.
