It was worth the wait, exceptional value makes my iPad very functional my go to when at home or away. I would rate this a 10 if I could. Highly recommended.

Not for students who need to use the Apple Pencil to take notes. The plastic backing feels sturdy but I would be afraid it would break if I constantly set the iPad Pro on top of the closed plastic piece to write each time. Taking the iPad out is hard. There’s not enough grab between the notches in the back of the magnetic plastic piece and your iPad. I wish that there was a 360 degree hinge that swiveled the iPad Pro and could take notes without taking the iPad Pro out of the case (and lay flat in tablet mode with the back covering the keyboard itself), and that there were bumpers around the edges around the iPad Pro piece that held it to add drop protection. The current hinge has a significant gap (in person) between the bottom of the keyboard and the iPad Pro plastic holder. If the keyboard was updated to have a 360 degree hinge the current Brydge Max + hinge length is good, the smaller swivel hinges are not sturdy enough. There is no “lip” to grab the iPad Pro to open the keyboard when assembled. It takes one hand on the bottom piece of the keyboard and one on the top awkwardly prying it open. The plastic magnetic iPad holding piece is not recycled plastic or plant based plastic. No multiple colour choices for backings, for example I can’t choose space grey keyboard + white backing. Back light on keyboard shines beneath the keyboard and not through. (See picture, sorry it’s hard to see without being straight above the keyboard. The left is Brydge and right is my pc). In daylight, the back light makes my eyes go crazy because I have to look at an angle to see it and same during the night. The clear see through keys aren’t as transparent as they could be. Track pad not as responsive as Apple magic keyboard. It clicks loudly and doesn’t seem to have a specified left/right click and clicks random places on the screen without me telling it to. Also, when I clicked it was loud and I couldn’t “tap to click” like you could on a normal computer to reduce noise in public. Keyboard guide included does not mention the 5 left function keys. I didn’t know what the lightbulb key vs the two suns did. They all seemed to change the brightness but it wasn’t clear. The lock was the back light keys and the square was the Home Screen. No silicone or plastic piece that snugly holds the Apple Pencil from falling in transit at the top of the keyboard and allows the Apple Pencil to charge via the magnetic strip at the top of the iPad Pro. Aluminum kick feet with rubberized bottoms would be a cool addition like the Red Dragon mechanical keyboards on the bottom of the keyboard plate to prevent neck slouching. The keyboard bottom is thin but in this day in age it could be thinner or just lighter in general. Batteries are getting smaller, or you could do pass through charging via the. 3 pin connectors on the back of the iPad Pro and give the users a choice between 3 pin connectors (charge iPad Pro + use accessories) or Bluetooth (charge keyboard and iPad separately). The Brydge 11Max + is perfect for the average check your email and work a little for home person. Or anyone who wants their iPad Pro to replace their computer on trips or when not at home. It is not good for anyone who wishes to use their iPad Pro 50/50 with the Apple Pencil and typing with a keyboard. Taking this out of the case is hard and annoying when you want to write with the Apple Pencil. There is no protection for the iPad Pro on any of the edges of the device besides the bottom. This keyboard is perfect if you want to sit on the couch or somewhere without a table because it is very sturdy unlike keyboards such as the Logictech Pro (keyboard kickstand doesn’t stay steady on lap). I hope to see improvements on this keyboard next year. I’d love to try this company again soon. For now, it does not fit my needs.
