Brydge, you did it again. They are the company I go to for keyboard tablets. The attention to detail and craftsmanship makes me a return customer.

...with a caveat. I know a lot of folks are concerned about damaging the iPad's glass with the hinges due to the design of this keyboard. I understand, because I am a bit OCD about that kind of thing... however, my thinking is as follows: First, it seems like the slots for the iPad are exactly the right thickness, just tight enough to keep it from moving, not so tight as to damage the screen. Secondly, when you open the iPad with the keyboard attached, you're putting pressure on the aluminum body of the iPad, not the glass. Finally, when closing the iPad, I close it by putting my thumb on the hinge, not by pulling the screen closed as I would on a laptop. It seems to me that this would nearly eliminate any extra pressure on the glass itself-- and the hinge is designed so the iPad doesn't slam shut. Really liking this in all other respects-- build quality for sure, keyboard action is outstanding, pairing is fast (the virtual keyboard will pop up occasionally for no good reason, but that happens with any bluetooth keyboard and phone or tablet I've used). Feet are sturdy. With keyboard attached, this will fit in an Amazon basic case for an 8-inch tablet-- a bit snug, which would worry me if the keyboard or tablet were plastic, but it's not. Expensive product, for sure, twice the price of most other similar keyboards, but so far, very happy with the investment. Full disclosure, I haven't had the keyboard more than a few days, but really liking this a lot so far, very elegant design.

You can type now on IPad mini but 1) very heavy, 2) bulky 3) very hard to touch bottom part of the screen.

I love the second generation of the iPad mini keyboard. So much easier to use. Worth the wait!

This is my second Brydge Keyboard. The first was for my i12.9” iPad Pro. It is a first generation Brydge Keyboard and it is fantastic. Several years old and not a single problem, so I was excited to learn that a Brydge Keyboard was now available for my iPad Mini 4. It is also fantastic and has additional features that I like a lot. I do have what I hope will turn out to be a needless concern and that is the clips that hold the iPad mini to the keyboard. This smaller one does not come with a back like the older larger one that attaches to the keyboard. It feels less durable and it seems often to slip on one side or the other. One must be extra careful, I think. It is not a problem yet, but I do think it could become an issue. Otherwise, this is a great addition for your iPad. Like a laptop, indeed!
