“I was looking for an alternative to bringing my Mac Air Book on a trip around the world. My wife forwarded me the link to Brydge. I purchased the 7.9 and from day one loved it. I traveled for 3 weeks without even thinking about a charge for its battery. It performs almost identical to my Mac keyboard. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to use their iPad as a computer.”

“I thought I'd exhaustively done my homework and shelled out $140 for the Brydge keyboard for my ipad mini4. I've had it for almost two months and use it about 6 hours a day. Here is my objective review:- Pro's - awesome build quality, sturdy, well made, great gold color match, terrific responsive keys, three level backlighting, decent battery life. Con's - power socket is on opposite side of an inserted ipad so you have left and right "wires" of the combined device when charging both (cosmetic ugly niggling issue) yes you could reverse the ipad but then the volume buttons would be docked underneath and fundamentally inaccessible. My biggest gripe is that when the ipad is fully and properly inserted into the holding slot/arms, the bottom edge of the screen, albeit visible is BELOW the edge of the keyboard...impossible to swipe up from here even with a stylus. More importantly, imessage, Whatsapp type programs have their input bar/location at the very edge of the screen which makes it impossible to tap to begin or reply to a message. So, any app that maximizes screen usage and has an input bar at the bottom will be problematic. Take a close look at the photos and you will see what I'm talking about. One of the major advantages of recent ios releases is the alt-tab type of fast app switching.the tab key on the small keyboard requires an additional awkward key depression to get fast switching to work. Understanding that "real estate" is limited on the small keyboard, the tab key should have been standalone like other similar sized keyboards. Wish it had a battery indicator, no way of knowing what the remaining charge level is until the last 5 minutes, the right shift starts blinking to let you know you're about 99% out. My BT headset is capable of showing the charge level on screen next to the BT icon, so why cant this? Frequently (multiple times a day) it loses pairing, forgets and needs re-pairing. Might be a faulty device. Brydge Support told me that BT devices often do (should i expect that as normal?!!) and to send them proof of purchase. No doubt I'm still within warranty and they'll do the right thing but that will only address one of the Con's. Hopefully you'll look a little closer at the product photos and find this review helpful.”
