The Brydge Max+ is exactly what the Magic Keyboard should have been. Huge trackpad, function row keys, superb build quality, and great all around protection. I like the idea of the keyboard having its own battery instead of relying on the iPad for power. They switches themselves feel great, a little longer travel than I prefer, but not a deal breaker. At first glance, my iPad looks like a MacBook. If you prefer the IPad over the MacBook, this keyboard is the best thing you could purchase for it. Takes 1 second to remove it from the keyboard and 1 second to put it back on. Perfect balance between tablet and laptop!

I am not new to Brydge keyboards as I had one for my Ipad Pro 10.5 before purchasing the Brydge Pro Max for my new Ipad 11. As someone who uses my tablet exclusively with a keyboard, typically while on my lap or in bed, stability is critical. While both worked really well, the keyboard is slightly heavier than others I have owned. I chose the Pro Max because of the magnetic attachment. I found the previous version’s clips sometimes interfered with certain swiping or on screen functionality and while secure, it was difficult to remove the tablet. A word of caution, however, this keyboard requires two hands to open it and not easily I might add. Esthetically, this keyboard is not as attractive as the earlier one. I am not crazy about the plastic cover and the bottom of the board has many screws, where the old board had 4 screws hidden under the corner rubber disks. Apple went with a design that did not have curved edges and Brydge followed suit. The combination does not feel as good in the hand. I have quickly adapted to the keyboard placement which is set back to accommodate the touch pad. Initially I was not sure I would even use the pad, but have found myself naturally using it when I am working on document. Some people have commented that the touchpad is loud when clicking, I have not found that to be an issue. The keyboard itself is really great and has a lot of hidden functionality, but unless you are a former Mac user, like myself, you will never know about them because of the virtually non-existent instructions provided (an annoying big tech trend). When my previous iPad home button broke, I stumbled onto the home button on the keyboard. No where on the Brydge site is there instructions on how to use the command, option, and other function keys or a reference on where to go to learn about them. I had to research Apple keyboards and was amazed at what I had been missing. I still have no idea what the esc button is for, and find it frustrating that it is where the old “home button was conveniently located. My only real concern about purchasing this keyboard, is the poor customer service I have received in the past. My old keyboard had an issue early on and it took numerous tries to even get to a service agent or response to an email. Later on when my keyboard had quality issues they agreed to replace it after I sent them a photo of the keyboard, once destroyed. I found that an unacceptable option. Here’s hoping this keyboard does not need their help!

I wanted to adore this product and use it to death, but I didn't even get the chance... had to immediately return it in a panic for fear of getting stuck w/ the cost of the keyboard. If Brydge wants to send me one at no cost to play around with, I will definitely re-review.

I've had a everything from a Newton eMate to an iPad Pro 12.9 for mobile computing This Brydge is replacing my Apple Smart Keyboard, which only lasted a couple of years before Apple's fabric started disintegrating. I love the Brydge's backlit keys, the snug magnetic attachment and the large trackpad. It's a bit heavy and needs an indentation that would make opening it a bit easier. But the adjustability is better than Apple's Magic Keyboard, and the price is better. Hint: Read the updating instructions before using. Overall, highly recommended!

The item took some time to arrive… this wasn’t Brydge’s fault. This is a great product, but it still needs some improvements. I have been using this for close to a month and the battery life is great. The keypads are sleek and I love this. The trackpad is very large, which is a very good thing. However, the trackpad can be too sensitive, especially when you have your palms resting on it while typing. I may need to learn how to type, without resting my palms on the trackpad. Overall, this is a great product.

Don’t ever buy directly from this company. My shipment was lost and never arrived. According to USPS it never left the facility. But they refused to issue me an immediate credit. As if it were somehow my fault and responsibility. HORRIBLE customer service. I ended up purchasing it somewhere else and it arrived the following day. And I still haven’t received my credit for the purchase that never arrived.

I ordered two items, one of the items didnt work - I returned BOTH items and they only refunded me the money for one item - and the other was useless to me. That is theft - - no matter how you look at it - - - I returned both items I bought from them within a week and the kept $60+ of my money. Stay away from a business like that.
