I was forced to use a tablet as a field tech by my company. I have to diagnose, connect via network, view electronic documentation, service equipment, and do monthly reports. I can’t tell you how many times I dropped the surface pro, when it detached from the stock Microsoft keyboard. The keyboard converted the tablet almost physically to a laptop again. Super happy with it. I highly recommend this product if you are used to a laptop. It is a godsend. I had to modify my uag case to fit the hinges, but no big deal. Fits perfect!! It operates almost flawlessly.

So I sort of still have a Nextbook 2in1 tablet that has a keyboard with mousepad and really I still love it, but Windows updates are killing it. Nobody except Brydge builds a keyboard with mousepad as a tablet accessory and I REALLY need that mousepad. The 12.3 works well enough with my Tab S5e. For some apps like my e-mail I can't check boxes with the mousepad touch so I have to touch the screen. No big deal. I had to buy a Quartet 9x12 magnetic dry erase board from OfficeMax as a support, but its nice. I can rotate my S5e right on the board to landscape or portrait, or flip it around to use the 12.3 as a stand when I read in my chair. The backlit keyboard is a great help too. I take 50% of the blame for only a 2 star rating because I'm using the 12.3 with a device it wasn't designed for, but it's a really great compromise. I might even 3D print my own lid to replace the dry erase board. My ding is that the mousepad selection on the 12.3 won't check boxes on screen, and I cannot arrow down on screen to the search term I want to select with Google search using the 12.3. I have to touch the Tab S5e to do either If the Brydge team doesn't hate Samsung, and realizes another marker opportunity, I would like to see a Brydge 12.3 accessory item that is like a magnetic lid, able to hold my tablet in portrait or landscape, that pockets (very important for transport) my tablet when I close the lid, and has expected mousepad functionality. Great job on the 12.3 to the Brydge team.

I really want to speak with someone, in person and I can’t. I’m having problems with the keyboard when working outside in cold temperatures. When the keyboard is in cold weather the touch pad stops responding. My company was looking purchasing a bunch of these for our service techs, but I’m going to have to advise against it due to this problem as well as a lack of tech support.

Great keyboard. Love the keys, not noisy and holds the Surface Pro firmly in the hinges. This is my 2nd purchase after I had bought one for my iPad.

I've lodged a refund request due to the potential damage the tilt mechanism can do to your surface pro. No one bothered to respond.

The trackpad is not recognized by the device manager like the type cover. It will be handled as a mouse. The trackpad gestures cannot be customized because no software is provided. What you can do with the type cover does not work with this keyboard. It is sold without this guidance.

This is a very good keyboard for my Surface 4 tablet, converts it to a laptop eqivalent. Hinges are solid and support any angle chosen. Very comfortable to type. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that it is not backlit, so use in a dark environment is problematic.
