“The quality of the keyboard is very impressive. It’s a bit heavy but I think the trade off for a better lap experience is worth it. Due to the connection being over Bluetooth there is sometimes a delay in connecting to my surface pro and rarely some connection issues while using the keyboard. If there was a direct connection like the original surface keyboard it would be a better experience but nothing that ruins the experience. I’d be interested in trying the newer version to see the improvement but I am happy with the keyboard.”

“There is a micro-B usb port on the side to charge the keyboard. Yes, this means that you have to charge your keyboard separately from charging your Surface - this leads to a pretty awkward cable setup. Supposedly internal battery lasts for 3-4 months, but what if you rely on this keyboard to work and it dies and you don't have a micro-B cord with you?? Also, the battery is supposed to flash 4 times to indicate full, but mine only ever flashes 3 times, even after charging it for a full 24 hours. Aside from the internal battery issue, the trackpad is small and not great. It often thinks I am pressing with two fingers when I am pressing with one - I do not have this issue with any other track I use (typecover, lenovo laptop, macbook). Additionally, the actual tracking of the pointer is not smooth. I really wanted this thing to be great, but unfortunately it does not meet my needs.”

“I'm pleasantly surprised how well this keyboard performs and looks. It simply works as you'd expect, automatically connecting with Surface and keys/touchpad feel similar to any laptop. With screen flipped open (in the up position) I can use one hand to lift and carry while moving around. This device has literally transformed my Surface into a laptop. I haven't had a chance to test the battery life for an all day event, but over a 4 hour period no issues. I would 100% recommend this device to anyone. Great job Brydge!”

“While I have always loved the Microsoft type cover, this keyboard is a massive improvement. It turns my tablet into a fully functioning laptop while still allowing the convertibility back to a tablet when desired. I would absolutely recommend this device to anyone who owns a Microsoft surface.”
