To say I love this keyboard would be an understatement. It provides a stability and comfort level that makes typing a pleasure. Helps transform my Surface Pro into a true laptop.

This keyboard turns the surface into a functional laptop - with the option of a tablet if needed. Design is great and the backlit keys are a bonus. It's been two weeks since I charged it - so that's a bonus. However - if I am doing downloads or network transfers, this srems to interrupt the bluetooth conversation and the trackpad becomes sluggish and keyboard begins to buffer up. Also, the keyboard has this annoying bug where a random letter starts repeating in the middle of typing.

The Microsoft keyboard that came with my Surface was a bit worn out so I got this. Overall it's really good. It basically turns your Surface in to a laptop. You lose some of the convenience of being able to flip the surface around to use as a tablet, but it's not a big deal to pull the unit out of the keyboard. The icon for the keyboard backlighting could be a little better b/c it took me a while to find it. The reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is because at the end of the day it's just a blue tooth keyboard with a clamp. It's very well done for what it is. But the missed opportunity for awesomeness is hard to ignore. Why not use the port the Surface keyboard attaches to and offer up extra power for longer batter life?

Keyboard feels a bit cheap, track pad feels clunky and isn't particularly comfortable to type with.

I have this keyboard since May and I got to say; the ability to have a surface turn into a laptop was an excellent idea. Do not get me wrong, the kickstand is great but when trying to use the surface on your knee is not as great as it sounds. Maybe it may work for people who have longer thighs but for me it was a no-go. To the actual reason why I gave it a 3 star. As in every bluetooth keyboard when the keyboard is in inactive mode (as in you have not type or move the trackpad for long period of time) the connection to reestablish itself to the surface takes fairly long and somethings does not even response. I have tired numerous times to do a soft reset and hard reset according to the manual but it still the same problem. This to me is one of the biggest deal breaker for as when the connection is connected, the keyboard is far beyond my exceptions. However, when trying to type or move the trackpad after "sleep", it can get really annoying trying to wait for the connection to be stable. Overall, the keyboard is great but I hope Brydge is doing another gen 2 version in the future with better trackpad size and lesser time to reconnect. Maybe use Bluetooth 4.0 instead of Bluetooth 3.0. P.S. I did contact bryde about the connection issue but I was informed that the connection "should" only take a second to reconnect but obviously if that was the case, I would giving it a 5 star rating.
