I have loved this keyboard for my new Surface, it makes it feel like a true laptop and is very stable. Unlike the kickstand options. Set up was a breeze, battery life is great (haven't had to recharge it yet). The trackpad and keys feel very high end. Also provides protection for the tablet when traveling and the extra weight is minimal. I would highly recommend this keyboard.

I bought one from Best Buy and once I connected it with my surface pro 4, as I was typing, I noticed that it was dragging out words that would make "world" end up being "worllllllllllllllllllllllld". It also lags quite a bit. So I exchanged it for another one, and found the same issues noted above. I wish it worked not having to use the kickstand on the surface pro 4 would be nice, but also if the keyboard didn't have those issues. I hope they fix it soon or at least come out with a different one! It's unfortunate that I had to return both and did not have a good experience with it.

As a recent surface convert from Mac, the Brydge 12.3 meets all my expectations and has turned the surface into a laptop.

The Brydge is everything it says on the tin. You get a rigid hinge for your Surface so that you don't have to balance the kickstand awkwardly, and sometimes painfully, on your lap. It works well, connects via Bluetooth, and has a long battery life. Mine arrived broken initially: one of the hinges had snapped off. Whether this happened during shipping is not clear, but it doesn't matter; Customer Service was able to replace it forthwith. My one complaint is the touchpad. It is slightly smaller than that of Microsoft's Type Cover, and part of this is to accommodate the hinges while still keeping the keyboard in a good size and in line with the edges of the Surface. Normally this wouldn't be a problem. But the touchpad is way too sensitive without tweaking it, and even though it has the same clicking mechanism that the Type Cover does, it is a lot harder to do so. The travel distance for the touchpad click is at least twice what it is on the Type Cover, and the actuation force is much stronger. When you're pressing that hard, it's easy for your finger to roll, which moves the cursor. This makes it almost impossible to click on anything without being super careful about your pressing. If the touchpad were better, 5 stars. But sadly, the touchpad is enough of a nuisance to dock a whole star.

be aware. if you get a bad product and ask to much questions you gonna get banned everywhere, without any answer. my brydge surface cover is dangerous and has razor sharp edges arround the whole product. brydge solution is to ingore every question and a ban. lets see if this rating gonna pass... i guess not...

I have been considering this keyboard since I read that it was coming out. I purchased it yesterday from the local Best Buy and could not be any happier. It has totally changed my use of my Surface Pro 3 in 24 hours. Thanks for coming out with a great keyboard!!

I can live with a lot of the other minor gripes that I've heard about the keyboard, but the thing that really brings down my rating of it is how many keystrokes are just not registered during normal use. I don't know if it is a Bluetooth problem or a key sensitivity problem or something else, but it's a noticeable problem (and particularly bad with the arrow keys). If there's a setting I can tweak somewhere, then someone please let me know because I'd love to give this four or five stars if it would just work more consistently. As it stands, I mostly wish I had returned it to Best Buy within the 14-day period.
