Having previously used Brydge keyboards for my Surface Pro 3 and 4 I was eager to beta test the 12.3 Pro, and I was not disappointed. The typing experience is as smooth as always and the track pad has been noticably improved. Just the thing you need for a true laptop experience with your Surface Pro.

Brydge has outdone itself yet again. I didn’t think that my first keyboard could get even better, but I was wrong. This keyboard is sleek, light weight and solid. The touch pad is excellent and the new finish on the keyboard is smooth and sleek. This product is a must!!!

WOW. I can’t believe that the original keyboard could be better. But the fact these keyboards make the Surface Pro more like a laptop vs a tablet. I have been using the Surface Pro since Pro 4. Now on my Pro 7 I could not imagine being with this keyboard.

The Brydge 12.3 Pro+ keyboard for the Surface Pro is a must-have. First, no more hollow-sounding tapping when typing, it's quiet. Can't tell you how many meeting where we have a large group of Surface Pro users and the sound of typing is annoying. Solid built, good feedback when typing, and the mount, at first I was skeptical, holds the Pro very well. Now the Surface Pro can be a real laptop when in use and no tabletop or desk around. The backlight is decent, though I have not had it long enough to test the life of the battery.

I've used Brydge keyboards since their very first release, for iPad and Surface devices. When they asked if I'd like to beta test their newest product, I jumped at the chance. The experience has been amazing! You can tell that Brydge has listened to it's loyal customers over the years, refining the newest generation and innovating with each new product. I may sound like a fanboy, but my enthusiasm is warranted. The previous version for the Surface Pro had it's shortcomings...one in particular in which the hinge could cause pressure and in rare cases crack the screen of your device. They have redesigned this new version and it is plain to see that our voices were heard! I will use this one without hesitation on my Surface Pro 7. Well done Brydge!

I had the opportunity to participate as part of Brydge Beta Program tester to put this keyboard thru it's paces. Let me tell you I was totally impressed. Purely from the design aspect, the keys, layout, touchpad sensitivity is exactly as responsive as Microsoft Type Cover! All gestures work flawlessly and turned my Surface Pro 7 into an ideal laptop while at the office or during the commute. When I need to use my Surface Pro as a tablet, it slides out easily and when I want to use it as a laptop, it holds my Surface Pro like it was a single unit! Kudo's to the design and engineer team, you can't get any better than this!

I have always believed that one of the biggest setbacks of the Surface Type Cover was the inability to use the surface on your lap. Everyone knows, if you want to use the kickstand to prop the Surface up on your leg, it is quite painful. This new Brydge 12.3 Pro+ keyboard is a great alternative to those who don't always have a large workspace to utilize, need more support for their laptop, and actually want to use it on their lap. The added heft along with the largest track pad you can find for a Surface Pro make it feel much closer to an actual laptop. The Bluetooth also works seamlessly and reconnects to the Surface almost instantly if you switch back and forth between keyboards. However, there are some setbacks to this year's keyboard. The keyboard deck is made with plastic that is a bit uncomfortable to type on and leaves a large amount of flex in the keyboard which can cause a lot of vibration when typing; this gets very tiring after 30 minutes of typing. The weight of the keyboard is also not enough to support the Surface beyond 110 degrees when sitting on your lap, thus causing it to flip over. If Brydge had opted for an all metal keyboard, i don't think i'd ever use a surface type cover again. Ultimately, I find this is a great keyboard to use if you are someone who is often on the go and needs lap-ability but there is definitely still some area for improvement.

Let me start off by saying that I absolutely adore this keyboard! I was lucky enough to have been chosen as a beta tester for the Pro+ 12.3 and this thing works amazingly on my Surface Pro 6! I’m used to the keyboard that was designed by Microsoft for the Surface and, while it works, I don’t like using the built-in kickstand as I often use my computer on my lap. The Brydge fixes this completely! It’s super easy to attach and detach, so if you like handwriting notes too this is perfect for you. My only complaint is that it makes my Surface a bit heavy as the keyboard itself is around as heavy as the Surface is. Other than that, Bluetooth is fast and responsive, all the gestures work perfectly, and the backlit keys are so nice for working in the dark!
