This is a great keyboard. It's really amazing when you put it next to the Surface Go keyboard there is no comparison. Obviously, it makes the Go2 a wonderful laptop and a joy to type on. I wish i was back in college with this.Ed

I got a Surface Go for my birthday in May 2019. The type cover was handy, but it warped, just enough so the mouse button was considered pressed and we all know the cool stand in the back of the surface doesn't work well in your lap. My Brydge 10.5 Go+ keyboard arrived via FedEx today and I love it, but here are some comments good and bad about the product and Brydge as a company... What could be better... 1.) I signed up for this product's announcements when it was first announced and there was an option to sign up for announcements. The product launch was initially in Q2 (or maybe late Q1) of 2020. There were several delays and I kept on top of them because I was always looking on Brydge.com to see what was going on with this keyboard. They never emailed me an update about a single delay! They never even emailed me when the product was available for pre-order!! 2.) The Surface Go has a recessed area on its bottom edge for the type cover. Maybe no one could make an alternate keyboard work with this, but I really doubt that. It's a shame that this product doesn't take advantage of the keyboard connection and attachment area provided by Microsoft. Maybe it was a licensing issue or no Engineers at Brydge could make it work... What's great... 1.) The keyboard is very easy to use touch typing, even though the keys are slightly smaller/closer than a regular keyboard (type cover was the same size) 2.) The firm/solid nature of this keyboard, compared to the relatively flimsy type cover, provides an even better typing experience on your lap. The type cover will flex a little, making typing slightly more difficult and occasionally, I think the flexibility of the type cover occasionally interferred with tap to click or clicking the mouse. Clicks didn't register, perhaps because the flexed type cover made it appear as if the left trackpad 'button' was already depressed. 3.) Angling the screen (i.e. Surface Go), instead of relying on the cool stand makes my Surface a real notebook! And that is awesome! 4.) This product has its own battery, so the backlit keyboard isn't draining the Surface Pro's battery (I assume Bluetooth uses less juice than backlit keys). If you're got a Surface Go and if you EVER use it or want to use it on your lap, you NEED this!

I write this review with my new Brydge keyboard. It arrived today! When I look at the Go 2 and Brydge, I see the Go's black bezels and silver trim, and then the Brydge's black keyboard with silver trim. The two look like they belong together. Nothing about this says "third party device". I can type with the Brydge on my lap, easily. I don't need to use the Go's stand for stability. The Brydge has just enough weight to keep the Go stable, but it doesn't feel heavy. It looks and feels lighter than the Go 2. For someone who loves to work on a laptop sitting on my lap, this is worlds better than the Type Cover. There is some slight bounce, occasionally, as I type, but less than the Type Cover would have. The keys feel wonderful. They are quiet to use as well. They can be backlit if you wish, with three levels of brightness - a nice touch. I have relatively thin fingers, but I do not find the Brydge too small to type on. It feels comfortable. The trackpad works very well. It makes a bit more noise than the keys do, however. I wish it were just a little larger, too. But these are minor quibbles. Overall, I am very impressed with the Brydge keyboard thus far. If it proves to be reliable, it will replace my Type Cover as my go-to keyboard. The only advantage the Type Cover has is that it is lighter. If having the lightest possible keyboard is most important, use the Type Cover. If anything else is more important to you, try the Brydge. It's a keeper!

I had the opportunity to work with this keyboard during the beta test program. With this keyboard the SurfaceGo2 feels like a real notebook in a small form factor. I've never worked with an accessory keyboard that is as well balanced as this one and makes you feel like the keyboard and the tablet are inseparable. This combination is definitely my ultimate workplace on the road.

Excellent product, I feel the biggest weakness on the surface was the keyboard. It made it nearly impossible to work at the airport while it was on your lap or a plane. The new Brydge keyboard addresses that challenge. The keys and pad are very responsive and excellent sleek design.
