Let me get the negative out of the way first. I wish it came with a dedicated shell for the iPad itself that would provide protection. As it is, the iPad simply slips into the hinges, leaving its rear surface exposed to potential dings nd scratches. To their credit, when I inquired about it, Brydge said they are working on a design that would do just that and still be able to fit ino the hinges. My second complaint, ironically, surfaced when I started to reply to the Brydge email requesting a review. I put the cursor in the Review Title field and began typing. I typed the first word and after I hit the space bar to begin the next word, the page scrolled down! As a result, I could not properly type out a sentence, much less an entire review, because the page would keep scrolling down and all the typed words ended up scrunched together. A bug, I’m assuming. Had to go to the website to write a review. On the plus side, the keyboard shouts QUALITY throughout. Robust in construction (which also means it’s a bit heavy), using quality materials. Love the dedicated buttons for a variety of iPad functions — toggles for Quick Lock, Home and Control Center, Screen Brightness, Player Controls, etc. Hghly recommended!

I really like the Brydge Keyboard for the apple iPad pro 10.5, it is really easy to use and makes my iPad more like a netbook version of the MacBook. However just 1 gripe which could be easily fixed, as it uses bluetooth when i open the clamshell the keyboard isn’t always on and ready, it will only sync over bluetooth once you press a key, it only takes about 2 seconds but its annoying. I d really like Brydge to use the apple 3 prong accessory connector as logitech have so there will be no delay to connect and also no need to recharge the keyboard separately as it could use the iPads power.

..this is clearly a v1.0 product for the 10.5" iPad Pro. The first and most frustrating thing is that the space bar on the keyboard only works when press in the middle of it! When you're typing, you often use your left or right thumbs to hit space quickly, but this rarely results in a space being inserted between words with this new model resulting in text often coming together despite your brain thinking you've "hit" space!. Even if you push the key all the way down from the left or right sides of it (and you hear a click) it won't work!! (Some reviews say similar issues with other keys). Hopefully the Rev B update will fix this but it seems to be a fundamental design/manufacturing issue. 2 other minor teething issues: (i). the shims to hold the iPad in place are weaker than previous editions, my keyboard almost fell off the iPad today!; (ii). the hinges move more that previous editions resulting in the keyboard often slipping down when you pick it up by the iPad (or worse, (i). above!). Alas, these points takes away from what it another really nicely made keyboard case for the iPad Pro 10.5 that I was sooo waiting for and which makes it a mini-MacBook for IOS! Hopefully these are just v1.0 issues that are resolved when the Revision B model comes out, as with prior incarnations.

received my Brydge 10.5 yesterday and was very excited. Once I installed it I have found that I like to have the screen about 135 degrees. At this point the hinges are not strong enough and the iPad will lower back to about 170 degrees with each screen tap. I am hoping that this is not systemic but just a bad keyboard. I need someone to contact me for a warranty discussion thanks.
