I purchased two of these keyboards for two new iPads. We have used another vendors for our old iPads but one no longer offered the claim-shell style and the other had no so good reviews. This keyboard is not a claim-shell and doesn’t have the 360 viewing angle that I liked with the old keyboard so we’ll see how things hold up long term but so far we are very happy. The back lit keyboard is a plus and the keys respond very smoothly and I’ll get use to the limited viewing angle. I travel a lot so I did also purchase the snap on cover to help protect the iPad. The cover adds a tiny bit weight but dresses up the unit nicely.

This is advertised as lasting for 12 months on a single charge. If you don’t charge it for twelve hours the battery will run down

I am enjoying the keyboard quite a bit, there is a slight learning curb but once there its smooth going thereafter! I am confused though about a photo that shows an iPad attached to a brydge in a manner that when closed would cover the keyboard but leave the tablet screen up, is there something I don’t know about?

There is a lot to like about the Brydge. The key board works and looks terrific. Great functionality and I like the touch of the keypad. There are two issues that kept me from giving 5 stars. The first, and most annoying, is the keyboard connection lag time. When you first start typing, it not only takes a moment to wake up, it drops the characters typed. My Zagg keyboard also took time to wake up but when it connected, It remembered what was typed. With the Bridge, if you are not paying attention, you can put in a lot of work and find it missing. Second, the attachment, in landscape mode, does not have enough room to properly swipe up for multi tasking so you need to go to portrait mode, swipe up for multi tasking then go back to landscape mode. More of a hassle than a deal breaker. I took a star off because I don't like that it doesn't remember what you typed before it connects.
