Second brydge keyboard we’ve purchased. Solid choice both times. I do wish that they sold the keyboard/screen protector/case as a package deal.

I am typing this on my second Brydge keyboard, which at first sounds like the first one failed and had to be returned, but that is not what happened in this case. I had my first Brydge, and right out of the box I noticed and issue with one of the keys. A quick few emails to customer service with a couple pictures, along with my order number and address, and a few days of waiting later, I got a new key in the mail. Popped it in and that was that, good as new. Sure it took a little while, but the person I talked to was super friendly and got it resolved really quick. Several months of heavy use later, including what I would imagine to be an extreme number of average removals of the iPad per day (like 4-6), I pulled the iPad out of my bag to find of the clips broken. It was tilted sideways and when I removed the iPad it just came off with it. “Well shoot, ow what? I’ve gone and broken it” I thought. Well I might as well send them an email anyway, I might be able to get replacement. I sent them an email, with a couple pictures of what happened, and waited. Surprisingly, the next day I got an email back from them, much quicker than I expected. The email said something along the lines of “that happens often if the iPad is not taken out correctly from the clips, especially if its pulled sideways”. That had been something that I did certainly do sometimes, and with the many daily removals I’m sure it wore down the keyboard. The next part of the email was something like “This does violate the warranty, but I thin I can get you a one time exception and a replacement, can you send me your address and I’l get one sent out”. I sent them my address, and about a week later a new keyboard showed up at my house, completely free of charge. It was an open box item, and the box certainly wasn’t new, but the keyboard inside looked great and even included the cable and sticker. They didn’t even ask for the old one back. So in short, I got a free replacement because I slightly mis-used the keyboard and wore it down, but the customer service is absolutely outstanding. I’m not guaranteeing that can get a free replacement, and it really sounded like this was not a common thing for them to do in their email, but I think it is a good testament to their want to please their customers. On top of the great service, the keyboard is extremely high quality, and works very well. The smaller keys take a bit to get used to, but once you do the typing is great, and it really does feel like a laptop. My only thoughts would be to maybe add a close lid detection to turn of the (surprisingly bright) backlight when the iPad is closed, and to automatically turn the keyboard on when opened so you don’t have to wait for it to connect, even though it really doesn’t take too long. Thank you Brydge for the quality product And quality service! 11/10, would recommend

The ad says a 12 month battery life but I’m lucky to get 3 weeks of a full charge for using it at most 30 minutes a day. Also it isn’t very durable one drop from six inches and the rubber protectors are no longer use full and it scratches the edges of the screen.
