“Our old dog Alex used to get problems with his anal glands, right up to the point he had to have surgery. I am always careful now that I know what to keep a lookout for. Dogs don’t get the same amount of fibre and variety in their diets as we do so sometimes they need a little support. These treats contain psyllium husk and flaxseeds, both excellent forms of fibre, psyllium husk is a bulking fibre, I add the powdered form to my own meals so know how good it is. Flaxseed as well as being a great fibre also contains omega 3 which is good for the heart, joints and coat. My dog Blue had been taking a little longer to go poo lately and after adding these treats to his daily diet he has improved only 3 days in. He loves the flavour and is happy to have one as a treat, he falls between weights so I give him one and a half every day.”
“Im always dubious about this type of product and whether they actually work. I've beenusing these with my 2 dogs - one or the other id usually see scoot at least once in the day. We've been using these less than a week and I that time I haven't seen either of the scoot. So I can't say anything against these as they seem to do exactly what they claim to. These are a good size, square chewy supplement which my dogs both ate without issue and seem to enjoy them. Depending on the size of your dog,or if you have more than one dog then these might not last very long!”
“Rarely seen my dogs doing the scoot thing but was happy to incorporate these Buddy & Lola Chews into my two dogs' feeding routine. Both already product firm stools and their toilet habits haven't changed in the week they have been taking the recommended dosage of twice daily, so no adverse effects. However due to the cost, from next week I am changing to 1 chew each, every other day, to stretch out their lastabillity. At £29.97 for 60 chewy tablets these could work out expensive due to the dosage - small dog (up to 18kg) 1 chew twice daily. Got to say that the weight range here seems pretty weird as all other product I own that have usage class small dogs up to 10kg so the 18kg on this tub is way above that. As both my dogs are 5kg each I would be using 4 chews a day giving me just 15 days use. Next weight - medium dogs 19-24kg 2 chews twice daily, large dogs 27-35kg 3 chews twice daily and xl dogs over 36kg 4 chews twice daily. So at the top end weight you would only get just over a week's supply on this dosage.”
“The media could not be loaded. Our 14 month old 21.4 kgs Labrador loves these soft chews and they certainly do not have a detrimental effect on her bowels either. Whilst she has never ‘scooted’, she does have a sensitive bowel and we are always looking for products that will be intestinal-beneficial.These are a ‘treat’ and also used for training! She swallows these down without pausing for taste if given a chance - so it is a win for all of us. However, for £29.97 for 250g/60 chews, these are fairly expensive. This tub will provide a month’s supply and works out at about £1 per day.”
“Ordered this for my two pups and the oil itself seems good. Very much let down as the dispensing pump supplied with the bottle is low quality and leaks vast quantities of salmon oil over my kitchen counters. This doesn’t just waste what’s a relatively expensive product - it’s a nightmare to clean up and leaves the kitchen whiffing of salmon oil. The company have let themselves down by under investing in the packaging”
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you have had issues with our salmon oil.
Please contact us directly with your order number as we would be happy to send you a replacement or offer you a refund.
We are pleased to hear that you like the oil.
“Our dog adores the salmon oil, he is a very fussy eater and often skips meals. Without the salmon oil, we'd have no chance, family members are constantly commenting on how smooth and glossy his coat is now even at seven years old.
The only drawback is that the bottle is just a bit leaky, so it's very messy. We have to keep ours in a plastic bag at all times.”
Thank you for your review Zoe, we are really pleased to hear that the salmon oil helps him to eat his meals. It's great to hear that his coat is smooth and glossy.
Sorry that the bottle is a little leaky. We are aware of this issue and we have been testing various bottles, pumps and measuring caps to see what is the least messiest. We do recommend popping the salmon oil on a saucer if that is an option.
“Have been using this on my dogs for the last 3 weeks or so and am pleased so far. Don’t know whether it’s the taste but my dogs are woofing their food (raw fed). Hasn’t made them loose which I was concerned about and one of my girls in particular tended to be an itchy scratchy dog and feel quietly confident she seems to be improving. Will certainly buy this product again.”
