These beds are truly substantial and stand up well to the weight of my dogs (one of whom is a senior who really appreciates the extra support). I have also washed the outer covers, per the instructions provided, and they still look brand new. These beds cost a little more than I normally like to pay for dog beds, but then I ended up replacing those other dogs beds MUCH SOONER that I wanted to.
