Hi Piola, Thanks so much for your reviews, and so glad to hear you're enjoying your new bed and mattress. I'm sorry to hear you're having a bit of trouble with lifting the ottoman up and down. We've designed the ottoman bed to make it difficult for younger children to lift and drop the base, however, we find with a bit of practice this gets easier over time. The most important thing is to ensure you're not bending your back or twisting when you lift (as is the case with any heavy load!). I hope that helps, and thanks again for your lovely reviews.
