“We purchased these for my RAF Cadet son, in need of new parade shoes. Quality and sizing, along with shipping, were all really good (four stars). However, at their first wearing, we got told that Patent Toe Caps are not accepted for parade shoes at RAF Cadets. Firstly, the RAF Cadets should be clear about this somewhere, but it's also very frustrating indeed as this is the Cadet Kit Shop, a self-confessed cadet specialist, inc. RAF, so it would have been helpful to get some form of warning that these may not be acceptable for all service Cadets. These shoes were listed when I searched for 'parade shoes' too. So, £52 down the drain because my teenage son isn't going to wear these anywhere else. However, the worst bit was that they thought he was trying to cheat, to avoid making the effort; he was so excited to find out patent toe caps existed and was hoping to look super smart, he was absolutely gutted when he got back that night and felt really sad they now though him lazy.”
