The adjustment mechanism is a smooth sliding of the reclining position which can be done while sitting on the chair or beforehand by just moving the leg rest up and down. Then the brakes under each handle will keep the chair in that desired position. That was much easier to work with for my 86yr old mother than the typical armrest notch-locking solutions you find.”
