“I am overall, happy with the heater but I cannot turn it off at the switch and have to turn it off at the cylinder every time. I would like to know how to fix this.”

Gas heaters can no longer be turned off by the control unit on the heater. If it was turned off in this way, and the gas valve developed a fault, then gas would seep into the room.
All new heaters are designed to be turned down to their minimum setting and turned off by closing the gas supply at the regulator. It is not a fault, it is a safety feature.

“The heater is great and the delivery was fast. There was a bit of a delay to get the 5kg gas cylinder as the only stockiest in my area was reluctant to sell one without an exchange but they agreed to supply after speaking to a Calor Gas rep.”
