“So, brown box in the context of this supplier means second hand. The stereo I acquired had marks on the screen, the stereo had been aligned with someone else’s Bluetooth systems, and the wires that usually come with the system were missing meaning it isn’t possible to get the full functionality of the stereo - critically, there is no GPS antennae meaning the wireless CarPlay will not work. Connecting wires are also missing as is the microphone. I have written to the company to try to source the missing components twice but they have not answered but they do seem very keen on seeking my feedback, hence this review. The price differential on the brown box item is broadly the same as the price I will need to pay for the missing components, plus I’m left with a second had stereo. Consequently, I would have been better off buying this brand new from a larger supplier like a Halfords or even Amazon. My advice to anyone reading this review is don’t bother with Car Audio Centre. There is no upside and potentially a lot of downside.”
