Having been in a delicate situation with a service user in my organisation, I feel more empowered in handling a situation of similar nature should it arise.

The Managing Distressed Behaviour course was engaging and thought provoking. It gave me more understanding as to why and what people with dementia pass through. Personally, I have gained a lot form the course and will be passing down the information I have gathered down to friends and family.

CareTutor's Managing Distressed Behaviour course taught me that as a carer, you cannot necessarily change how a person with dementia thinks, but you can adapt your behavior, or the environment, to help alleviate distress.

I loved the use of role play, you pay more attention and its not boring as it does not need more concentration. It makes the learning clear easy to comprehend.
