“Loved doing this course as its highlighted a few things we need to include in adult training as well such as sun safety - when dealing with people who lack capacity, we need to ensure the care plans have looked at consent to apply cream in best interest scenarios so using information from the Mental Capacity Act in Practice course crosses over here as well. Risk assessments need to be very detailed for children and this should also cross over if supporting an individual to access the community who may lack capacity or have eg a LD or autism, dementia. I actually wrote pages of notes from this course about how we could include information in various care plans for adults - the quality of information is excellent - common sense approaches to recognising hazards building into risk assessments - class course from a class company.
